I play Ken Smith, MTD-USA, and Spector basses with an Ampeg 1100 watt amp. Nothing sounds good thru these speakers.
You have to look pretty hard to find a 2x10 and/or 1x15 worse than this. In fact I dont think there is a worse cabinet for bass guitar. Rated at 500 watts the cheapo speakers cant handle much power nor has the ability to do much more than sound farty and fractured. I also have the 1x15 to match it and between the both of them they are as inferior as it gets.

Not reliable at all. Buy another brand. I now use it as speakers for my cd player in the basement. They sound good there.

The manufacturers of the POS should be ashamed. I called Dave at Avatar and bought a 2x10 and 2x12 cabinet and brother what a world of difference. Didnt spend a whole lot of money on the Beheringers so the loss isnt that great.

Whats laughable is if you try to trade them in at the music store the sales clerk wont be able to give you more than a blank expression for them. So if you are poor and cant afford a little more money for a decent rig or mommy cant afford to get you decent cabinets then wait a little longer. Somethings are worth waiting for.

I bought this cabinet when it first came out and have had non stop trouble.
To be fair tha cabinet itself is built well and is the right size and weight for me, that was the attraction.
The speakers are the problem the first week they were buzzing.
Behringer in Seattle sent me a new one, I installed it and it was good for a couple of weeks.
Then the Alluminum cone started to seperate from the fabric part of the cone.
I did some spot repair but slowely the Aluminum would keep seperating in different areas.
The cabinet now sits useless in my front room and I'm doing what I should have done to begin with, spend more on a good small cabinet.
Don't make the same mistake it is obvious to me that China has a thing or two to learn about adhesive.

Tried, got a bit of help from them but how much time do you spend...and once you try to do some repair yourself...I had to...stuck between gigs...you're screwed

Been playing Bass since 1969 and I should know better...shame on me trying to save a buck when I can.
I figure I will just throw it in the garbage..what else can I do...buy new speakers to put in it?
Don't know how to match the specs

Bought it at Guitar Center January of this year ('06), so presumably it was built in '05. Features are great for the price - has a foot-switchable toggle switch to defeat the tweeter. I was happy keeping mine "on". I say "was" 'cause it's now useless.

I play blues-rock, have played a variety of basses through it, and the trusty ol' Fender Jazz with stock pickups sounded nice and smooth through a TubeWorks Blue Tube into a little Pyle 1200 (150 watts) amp to the BA210, until the Behringer died. Took a while to break in, but had OK bottom end for the size fo the drivers, and very nice punch at all frequencies.

Biggest piece of crap I've EVER played through. After four months of very gentle use one of the drivers failed during a gig: the cone came unglued from the surround. Not cool! This pile of garbage is supposedly rated to 500w. I put less than 150w into it and it crapped out. The Bugera aluminum cones are junk, they look like they were cut out by Kindergarteners with those little safety scissors. It's no wonder that the surround came off, there couldn't have been 0.1mm of cone attached to the surround.

Only after the BA210 died did I discover how terrible both Guitar Center and Behrninger customer support is. One of the sales guys at GC actually made fun of me for buying it! Exact quote: "what did you expect, it's a Behringer". No kidding. GC honors a 30 day warranty even though they talk-up the "1 year warranty". Some warranty - after 30 days, you have to send the entire unit in its original packaging back for warranty service, return freight pre-paid, making a warranty claim almost half the price of the new unit.

Don't fall for tantalizing price and fake reviews on some of the other review sites. There is a reason the BA210 is under $200 - it's crap. I am going to pull out the Bugera drivers and put in replacements from Parts Express. The cab is nice, and worth keeping, but that's it!

Bought new at Guitar Center 06/2005, Just started playing bass 10 months ago and bought an inexpensive starter rig. The behringer xt3000 head, 2x10 cab and a 1x15 cab. this cab has 2x10 aluminum cone speackers, tweeter w/switch I wish the tweeter had a level knob instead of switch. Looks good. Appears well made. the inside is well braced ( I've had the speakers out (more on that later).

I currently play an Ibanez GSR200 4 sring with active electronics and a Shechter Stilletto Elite 5 string with active EMGs. My band plays just typical rock and roll like G'n'R, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Nickelback, Chevelle, Led Zepllin etc. After using for a few months I am not happy with the sound, it wasn't very punchy and is really weak at lower frequencies partiicularly on the 5 string's B string.

The first 2x10 died the the day I brought it home. Returned it for another one and babied it but both it's speakers started buzzing after 5 months. I've never had the volume on the head past 4 so I'm not beet'n the crap out of them either. Removed the speakers and inspected the cabinet to see if was worth keeping. Looked good so I installed Emminance BP102s... WOW... this is what a bass cab is supposed to sound like, punchy and well definded and these speakers are louder than the original Bug$%^&s I mean Bugera speakers. Don't waste your money because you'll end up spending more down the road. (BTW... the 1x15 cab's speaker died recently)

I've played guitar off and on for 35 years (badly), I'm 48. I've been playing bass now for 10 months. I won't ever buy anything with Behringer speakers again. I do own their XT3000 bass head and 2x400 PA and they work fine. Don't buy Behringer bass cabs. You'll regret it

Same as other reviews...I like the foot switch tweeter and wheels since its heavy and large for a 2-10. I replaced the blown drivers with some smaller magnet Eminence Drivers and this thing sounds great!

I had a small 2-10 cab bi-amped thru a GK 800 and it could never handle much lower end. The Behringer cab with the replaced drivers really sounds good and is effective as a full range cab...fat with punch for a 2-10 cab. I use it as a full range cab during rehearsals and high frequency cab during gigs.

This is the 500 watt, aluminum coned 2x10 cab. I've had it 7 months, probably made in 2004. When I first got it, I loved it - sounded great, put out good tone. It has a switchable horn/tweeter but to much hiss comes through, so somewhat useless. They should of put a volume control on the back for that horn. The wheels I like, they were helpful in some instances, but you do have to get it just right for them to roll good.

I play with a dean rhapsody, active electronics, I thought the sound was great. Good solid attack, crisp mids, sounded good on the low end also. BUT, about 3 months into performing with this cab, the paper seperated from the aluminum... not good, now it sounds like crap. I get a buzz no matter where I am in volume, no matter what note it is, all I hear is buzzing. So I replaced the speakers with two Eminence Delta 10's that I found on scratch and dent at Avatar for like 50 bucks a piece. Now it sounds even better than it ever did before.

Well, I've had two behringer products in my life - BA210 cab, and BX3000 head. I enjoy using the BX3000 head, it's held up well, too bad the cab didnt. I would not recommend the cab, it's so hit and miss with these guys, thats how I look at it.

i've been in the biz for a good 12 years, I play alot of funk jazz folk stuff. Overall, I dont know if i could recommend this cab. Its tough though, because its such a good price, and when it works like it should, it sounded good, but theres always that chance of this happening to you too. I've read other reviews on here and its happened to other people where the fabric seperates from the aluminum. I'll rate the product 5, because its a good value but not to reliable.
I'm happy now that I have Eminence Delta 10's in there and also An Avatar B212 cab that rocks hard. Learn from my mistake, dont buy the behringer, check out Avatar first.

Failed after about 4 band practices, the 2nd time I had it maxed out with my 300w bx3000t head. The speakers started distorting horribly, seems to be the same problem other users of this cab have suffered. I wish I had read the reviews before buying, put it that way.
After this, I would never gig with a behringer product. Very poor show.

Good attack. It lacks the really low range, but still good for 10's. The tweeter does get a bit hissy when you are playing by your self but is unnoticeable when you?re playing in a band. Easily keeps up with drums and a half stack.

Right speaker started to sound like it was distorting, and this was after 10 hours total of use. To my surprise, the speaker cone separated from the surround. There was no reason at all for it to happen. My power amp only puts out 340 watts MAX in to 4 ohms. Makes me wonder about the 500 watt rating.... Definitely wouldn?t depend on it for live use. Perhaps the paper cone version would have been a better choice.

Company seems to want to help. They sent me a replacement speaker aprox. 3weeks after I contacted them. Speaker they sent was blown, had been taken out of another cabinet (clipped wires) perhaps they took it out of a new one...I doubt it.
I am still dealing with them, we'll see...ever the optimist
I will place another review here if they fix the problem...If you don't see it then i have probably discarded the cabinet....chalked it up to experiance.

I own a Hartke 4.5 /4 10" module..great but heavy. Hartke 3500 head (Like It), Ampeg Extreme cabinet...had problems with that also..maybe why they stopped making it so soon.
1975 Prototype (Pre-release) MusicMan StingRay(they'll bury me with it) Geddy Lee Jazz (very nice) lotsa other toys......
