This is a brand new model from Behringer. Pretty basic 12" bass combo. 120 Watts, 4 band EQ, Dual inputs (active/passive), two channels. On the second channel there is a *shape* function - basically a well balanced tone control. The Ultrabass effect drops the orginal signal one octave and also plays the original one. It only tracks well with a rather high gain and higher pitch. Effects loop is pretty straight forward. XLR DI out, RCA ins and outs, detachable power cable (one supplied is rather short, I'd go out and buy a longer one). The fan only runs when it needs to for less power consumption and noise. One nice extra is the footswitch for channel/Ultrabass (included)

Sound Quality : 9
I play a very wide spectrum of musical styles from punk to solo electric bass. It is very punchy with my custom P-Bass, crisp and warm. My 5 string Jazz Bass is tight and warm also. The amp can handel everything I've put into it so far. The tapping and artifical harmonics remain delecate and the slaping and fingerpicking stay very articulate and punchy. The limiter balances out the peaks and valleys pretty well. I feel the aluminum coned speaker adds a bit of brightness. Not too much noise. It's very sonically versital.

Reliability : 10
Built well. It had a small engagement with my percussion player's congas and I'll just say my amp won the fight. It's taken the usual smacking and shoving into the backseat of a car. It's a bit heavey, though, for the small (I mean SMALL!!) rubber handle it's got. I invested in a nice luggage rack for it. Hard plastic corners, durrable carpet covering, recessed controls, and metal grill give it a brutal German designed toughness. 10 for being built like a tank.

Customer Support : 10
Only time I've had to deal with them was E-mailing to submit my warranty info. I've contacted them other times in the past about Pro-Audio gear and they have provided me with a great deal of information and friendly service. No question too stupid for Behringer.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing bass for 4 years, guitar for 6, and cello for 7. This thing handels my style(s) very well and would make a good addition to anyone's arsenal, regardless of playing level or gigging requirements. The only thing I can truely say I hate about it is the tiny handle (and maybe the fact that Behringer doesn't make any more powerful bass amps - yet!) Overall, It gets a 9 for its incredible value as a mid to upper sized combo amp.
