Great for the money
Passive and Active inputs
4 Band EQ
Shape Feature
Tape Input
Line Out
Effects Loop
Headphone jack
This amp works fine for small gigs. Louder than 100w amps by other companies. This amp is REALLY loud for 60 watts. For louder gigs we go line out to board and put bass in mix.

Sound Quality : 9
Have played a Fender Deluxe Jazz (active) and a 6 string Alvarez bass (passive) through it and it sounds great. No buzz or hiss of any kind. This amp can be very loud and clean at high volumes.

BUT, apparently Behringer made a bunch in which they put the wrong speaker. Just like others here, mine had the 50 watt speaker in it instead of the 100 watt speaker so it started to buzz on certain notes after a while.

The GOOD NEWS is that if you call Behringer and tell them they will send you the 100 watt speaker for free. Remove 4 screws take out 50 watt speaker and put in 100 watt and you've got a KILLER amp for the money!

Reliability : 9
Very reliable once it has the 100 watt speaker in it.

Customer Support : 10
Excellent. All you have to do is tell them the speaker buzzes and that you looked at it and it says 50 watts instead of 100 watts and they will send you a new 100 watt speaker. I did this well after my warranty expired, (although I didn't tell them that)

I think they are aware of the situation so they don't push real hard on the warranty issue, they didn't even ask me to send a dated receipt.

This is a typical practica amp with
Passive and Active inputs
4Band EQ
Shape Feature
Tape Input
Line Out
Effects Loop
And Headphone jack.
This amp is good enough for a small gig. This amp beats out 100w amps in other brands. This amp is REALLY loud for 60 watts. I have even used this amp to play a give with a 20 piece big band, and never did I have to crank it up all the way.

Sound Quality : 10
This amp sound great considering it is only 60 watts. I can crank it all the way up with very little distortion. You may think I am full of it, but I cranked it up at the guitar shop before I bought it. The shape function works good, but it is very easy to over use, and should be adjusted with taste. No need for a preamp, the line out is really clean!

Reliability : No Opinion
Don't know how reliable it is, so I got the performance warantee on it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to call them

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing music for over 30 years. I can not tell you now this amp was last year, but the version I got rocks!!!!! I just had to write a reasonable review because of some of the less the resonable ones I have read about this amp. I would have to pay almost twice as much money to replace it in another brand.

I tried out ever amp in the store under $300(That is what I intended to spend), including the BX1200, and this one just blew the rest of them away in overall sound quality/volume.

You don't get something for nothing, but we do have to be reasonable about things. Can you find better bass amps, sure, but not for $169!!!

AN updateof my review, ( one of the first).
Eventually i Did start to get a buzzing noise after jamming with soem buddys a few weeks ago.

The proiblem?
It indeed is the speaker . HOw did i tell? I pulled out the speaker and it buzzed while not in the cabinet, so i replaced it with a 12 inch eminence alpha.
Result?
SOLID. The eminence sounds different, it doens thave as much presence. On he other hand the low end is SOLID.
The over all amp sounds solid now. The bass is strong like a kick in the balls. I pump up some o the highs a lil , bu other than that she sounds great now, just darker. But what i love is that i can absolutely crank her, and get no distortion.

Oh and you might be wondering how u can get inside the amp?
the front is VELCRO'd on ! Atfirst getting inside the map seems liek pandoras box, then i ecided i didnt need the front grill anyways so id jsut rip it off.
Well
its made to be ripped off lol.
Inside is immaculate. The cabinet is truly top notch.
Basically the Bx600 is a rockin amp with a crappy speaker.
Stil altogether i paid 140 + 45 bucks for the spekaer. So 185 bucks for a solid (now its reliable) , good sounding jamming amp.
STILL cant beat that.
~mike~

Great features, great price, love the shape feature

Sound Quality : 9
Played a Fender Jazz and a 5 string Yamaha RBX375 throught it and wow what a sound. No buzz or hiss of any kind. This amp can be very loud and clean at high volumes. Love fooling around with the shape feature, I don't use a lot of effects anymore.

Reliability : 9
Have owned it 6 months and no problems, I've giged with it with no back-up.

Haven't needed customer support.

Ive been playing music bass for about 4 years and music for twenty and just love Behringer products. I also have a Behringer Vintager AC112 Guitar Amp, V-amp 2, Thunderbird BX108 bass practice amp, and have played through Behringer Mic's and sound boards. I have played through some Fender bass amps and my BX600 blows them away.

See other reviews for full list. It's pretty standard stuff. The shape is kind of neat, but novelty. The line-out is helpful. Otherwise, ho-hum.

Sound Quality : 4
For the first couple of weeks, this amp was excellent. It could do anything I wanted it to. From there, its health really declined. Running a bass through this (like it's meant for) is hellish. It buzzes on certain notes. No matter what volume. The buzzing is simply much more present at higher volumes. However, running a mic for horns are vocals through it seems to work fine. Cello also sounds nice through it.

Reliability : 5
So far, it's been reliable. Nothing broken. Though it seems like it'll happen within the year. The knobs are absolute junk, expect them to fall off within the first month.

Customer Support : 2
Haven't had to reach them personally (and frankly, I don't really want to). I've heard they have some of the worst customer support, from friends though.

Overall Rating : 3
When it comes down to it, this just isn't a very good amp. It suffers speaker buzz and is made of poor quality materials. I would maybe suggest this to someone who just wants volume and doesn't care a thing at all about tone. The only upside to this is that it gets very loud and doesn't quit. Not even good for beginners, I'd say.

Welp I finallly got mine abotu 2 weeks ago. So i gave my self soem time to to a decen treview of this boy... ( im the one who posted the comment abotu the 100 wattspeaker issue)

Well lemme tell u this baby sounds NIIIIICCCEE. Even if i forget i paid 140 for it for a moment. Using this with my SX Jazz bass which is nto the most expensive thign on earth by any means, it just spits out awesoem basstones. Any where from thing and trebbly, to smooth n middy, to deep n punch/thumpy. Wait i take that back, this thing is almost AlWAYS punchy. imean if u really tried, u can make it unpunchy. But heck this thing can make alost any bass sound , but it always sounds good. And the shape filter can seeem to add some sort of thickness beyon the already great tones when the shape filte risnt on. Amazing. Actually the only tone this thing cant get is distorted.
Matter of fact i ran this thin on about 10 out of 12 on the volume and couldnt get the slightest hint of distortion. Osmehting VERY FEW amps can do. Now i dont know for certain if this woudl gut thru with a drummer as i ahvent used it with one yet. But i hav ejameed with some friends ( by the way this amp make s a great acoustic electric amp, and when i use my electric guitars i get an absultely beautiful and warm clean sound, the distortion sound srather solidstate when i use a pedal, but the clean tones rock my socks off). And volume wise, i have to agree that this amp sounds alot bigger than its rated. Pretty dang loud.
And mostimportantly as regards the 100 watts speaker.

My manual says 100, but sicne the back is sealed i have no idea. But i do know One thing, i ran this thing 1 notch from wide open and the only thing buzzing were the flourecent light fixtures, and soem stuff half way across the room. No actual everythign in the room was vibrating :p. Actualy this thing rubles stuff at about 3 on the volume. anyhoo, no buzzes, actually im aazed at how solid the cabinet is. This baby rocks, period.

Reliability : 7
Well iv ebeen playing this a bit and a few tiem jsu tpalin wid eoppen and its solid as can be. TH econstruction is grade a.
I hav ea GM110 gutiar combo and that baby is a tank, had that for about 1.5 yrs ( actually its the 2nd review on this site) and it has performed flawless ly. wheneve ri play with the drumme rand othe r guitarist i run it alsmost wid eopen and it never misses a beat.

Reply to Mike and some other reviewers: I wrote an earlier review concerning the speaker in this thing. The manual that came with the amp did state teh speaker was a 100 watt unit; opening the cab, I saw that the speaker in this 60 watt RMS amp was rated at 50 watts.

A bass amp should induce vibrations in its surrondings; where vibrations are not welcome is when the speaker buzzes and sounds like Bob Dylan.

I notcied some peopel had problems, and others didnt with this amp and i figured out why.
I looked on a few websites to see the specs and it seems that at one point behringer installed 50 watt speakers on this model. but thats way too low for a 60 watt amp. SO if u played it at any reasonlable volume, youd get buzzing cuz u just blew the weak speaker. BUT now i looked on behringer websites and it seems they now come with 100 watt speakers, just right. Which may be why u can find so many good recent reviews. All the new models should have this speaker. Im gonna be gettign one soon and posting a review.

60 watts, 4 band eq, shape function, effects loop, line and headphone outs, passive and active inputs. The shape function is really useful in getting a good, punchy tone, as is the 4-band (with seperate high and low mids). everything you need, and then a little.

Sound Quality : 8
i'm using this with a standard fender jazz bass, and it suits my style just fine (classic rock-type stuff, with some slap thrown in).
It's quiet, only hums in rooms with noisy wiring or with noisy cables/basses. can get hissy with treble cranked too high.
It gets all sorts of sounds, and i get a pretty good slap tone with bass at 3 o'clock, low mid at 9 o'clock, high mid at 5 o'clock, and treble at 12 o'clock, and shape at 1 o'clock.
only problem is that it starts to buzz and gets boomy at higher volumes (past 8 or so on the volume dial). sounds good overall.

Reliability : 10
Haven't had any problems yet, and i've had it for 4-5 months and no problems whatsoever.

Haven't contacted them, can't say.

i've been playing bass for only 8 months now, but i've been playing guitar for 2 years now.
if it were stolen, i'd probably get something else, bigger. maybe a traynor/yorkville, or an ampeg. 10 for value.
