Features : 9
Would give it a 10, but it's a very simple and straight forward design with a single 12" speaker, front port and no tweeter. I didn't want a tweeter as I play mostly old school classic rock and blues. It is near perfect in its simplicity.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a variety of electric basses with this great compact cab. Main basses: Fender Jazz modified with Seymour Duncan Antiquity 1 pups and a Warmoth jazz width ebony board fretless neck and La Bella Jamerson flats, Fender Jaguar with DR low riders and an EB Music Man Sterling maple neck with DR low riders. I power it with an Eden WT-300 amp. This little cab can take just about all the power you can throw at it and remains clean and deep. If you didn't know it was a single 12" cab, you'd swear it was much larger. I also have 2 Eden D115XL cabs and this Berg is less than half the size, only 36 lbs., yet produces about the same volume. Really quite amazing! The "EX" is meant to indicate that this is an extension cab, mainly to be part of a stack. Bergantino and many retailers suggest it to be used with a similar 112 cab (can't remember the model name) that has a tweeter. It isn't really marketed as a single compact cab and that's sort of a shame, because in my opinion, this is the loudest, cleanest, most even balanced small box I have ever played through. For a light weight and easy to haul around bass cab, this little guy can pump some deep undistorted tones, especially for classic rock and motown styles. I never would have believed how great this cab until I took a leap of faith and bought this one.

Reliability : 10
Seems very solid and well made. I have had no trouble with it at all.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have not had to deal with the company at all because it simply works so well. I have heard that they are very responsive and helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing bass for about 32 years and have owned many different cabs and amps, mostly pretty high-end systems like Ampeg and Eden. For an easy to transport cab this thing is just about as perfect as I can imagine. It easily provides enough clean/loud volume and pure rich tone to play in a small to even medium size club venue. Other players are always amazed that something this compact and simple is such a tone monster! I love it and would not hesitate to buy another one if needed.
