This cabinet handles 400watts @ 8 ohms and has standard 1/4" jacks plus speakon's. It has an antenuator for the horn. It is front ported with a very nice grill that reminds me of the older SWR Goliath II grill, but w/ a more chrome look. Why I give the Bergantino a "10" is that the dimensions of this cabinet are great. Most 15' cabs are too big. This cabinet should fit in most cars.

I was in the market for a 15" speaker for my original Eden model VT-40. My amp has a Demeter designed pre-amp, but with a gain control. The Eq. section is passive, but has a nice sound. The HT115 matched well with this amp and has plenty of bottom, the mids are slightly scooped and the highs are smooth. This cab. is not boomy and just sounds great. I knew after playing it for just a few minutes at the store that this is what I wanted. I have played/owned many cabs. and this is my favorite. The other ones I have owned SWR,Eden,Hartke and Trace were good. I think Bergantino has a sound that will please most players, except a flat out hard rocker, because it is not boomy enough for that style.

Reliability : 10
I have had this cabinet for five months and it has been working great. It is constructed very well.

Have not had to contact them. However; every one else says they are helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
I give it a "10" because if this cab had been available when I started playing bass in 1990, I would have stopped buying other cabs. If you have the money you may want to give this one a listen. They are pricey, but it could be your only purchase which will save from the Marry-go-around of losing money trading.

1 15" speaker with a tweeter (tweeter level control). Power handling - 400 watts RMS. 8 Ohms. A little more than half the size of a 4 x 10" cab. It's got both 1/4" and speakon jacks.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using two jazz type basses (Carvin LB20 and a Warwick Corvette Standard) through preamps (an Aguilar 924 for the Carvin and the onboard preamp for the Warwick) into an SWR Bass 750. The SWR delivers 450 watts at 8 ohms. This is my small gig rig and it definitely can rock the house. I've played through this speaker with totally flat eq and with it tweaked for the dub rumble required for the reggae band I'm in. It does both with a power and clarity that I've not experienced. I traded in an SWR Workingman's 4 x 10 and Big Ben to get these two Bergantino cabs (I also bought the HT212) and have been so happy. I turned off the tweeters on the old rig - not so with this cab. The tweeter does such a fantastic job of capturing the highs and blending them with the rest of the sound. I find that I am no longer turning the treble all the way down on the bass and the amp (or the preamp). Now those highs are beautiful and when I dig in they really bite. The lows are huge and round without being boomy. I'm using a lot less eq with this speaker.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've had the speaker for a month. So, I really can't comment on the realibility, per se. However, the construction is rock solid, the grill is not a flat piece of grill merely bolted on, but each edge is bent in for better stability.

I clicked on the link at the web site, bergantino.com, to ask some questions and got a response from Jim Bergantino himself. In the response he asked me to tell him what I chose after I went shopping. I sent him an email telling him that I got the 15" and and the 2 x 12. He called me up to ask me if I had any questions! I'm just a joe schmoe weekend bass player looking for better tone. Anyway, I was as impressed with the service as I was with the products.

Overall Rating : 10
I've very happy with my purchase. I initially went shopping to find a smaller cab for my weekly gig. What I got was a smaller cab with a bigger and better sound than my 4 x 10 at less than the price of Epifani and Eden.
