Got this cabinet not long after they were introduced. It ia a 3x10 configuration with a horn tweeter, speakon and 1/4" connectors and a very nice tweeter attenuator. The chrome grille is very sturdy and the handles are the fixed variety, well placed for balance on each side of the cabinet. The casters are nice, and a must, as this baby weighs in at about 90 lbs. I use it in the studio and for gigs and performs equally fantastic in both settings

I play a Spector NS-2 four-string, a Ken Smith BSR-M 5-string, and a Pedulla Pentabuzz. I use a Epifani UL-502 head. This cabinet makes every bass shine - very true to the inherent tone of each instrument at any volume. I've played many cabinets but the Bergantino has such a warm,, true sound to it. Always rich and clear - never honky muddy, or sterile. It sounds the same at the back of the club as it does on stage. KILLER tone. A marvelous piece of equipment.

100% reliable. Not a single issue from the day I got it. I dropped it once flat on its face - there's not even a mark on it.

I've talked to Mr. Bergantino a few times. He is always very generous with his time and forthright with his advice or ideas. I'm confident that if I ever needed repairs or service (which I doubt) he would be very helpful.

I consider the Bergantino 310 to be one of the very finest bass cabinets on the market. I've been playing bass for a long time and have tried many different cabinets, including a number of "industry standards". This is just in a category of its own - superior in about every way. If I had to replace my 310, I would get another Bergantino in an instant.

The tweeter attenuator is very nice and the highs sound good through its whole range. I like the Speakon and 1/4" connectors for versatility. Very attractive looking box too. Bigger casters may be an improvement for transport over rough terrain (i.e. gravel) I think the unique port design lends to its killer sound. Handles any musical style beautifully. Great for recording or gigs. 3 x 10 design makes it a bit easier to haul around than a 4 x 10. The hadles are perfectly placed for carrying balance.

I bought this speaker shortly after they were introduced to market. I was looking for a refined sound by not one that was harsh or sterile sounding. One that still had some booty. Man did this cabinet deliver. Nice tight bass with plenty of low end, always clear, never farty. Excellent for any style of music. The highs are very impressive. Very smoothe and natural, never brittle. If I could change one thing, I would make it a little BIGGER sounding. Other than that, darn near perfect.

Superb construction - I think that's one reason it sounds so good. I dropped the cabinet flat on its own face once, and there's not a mark on it. No performance issues either. Has never needed an ounce of service and I use it a lot.

I talked to Jim Bergantino once prior buying. Very nice guy, willing to asnwer all kinds of questions. Very knowledgable about his products, and speakers in general. I have no doubt that if I needed help with my speaker, I would get very good service.

I've tried numerous other big name speaker cabinets, and this is absolutely the best. I play a Smith, Spector, and Pedulla basses through this beast - it brings out the best in each while allowing them to maintain their unique voice. If I were to ever need to replace it, I would buy another Bergantino cabinet, probably a HT-322. I am a gear freak, and I can honestly say I've never been more pleased with any piece of equipment I've owned.

I play a G&L L2000 4-string through a SWR SM-400. I play a lot of different styles; jazz, blues, funk, country, classic/southern rock and this cab can reproduce most any tone coming from my the G&L/SWR faithfully and cleanly.
I was looking for a big move up from my cheap Hartke rig which had no bottom end, so I was low-end crazy when I purchased. I had pretty much decided on an Eden 4x10 and the guy in the shop made me play through the Bergantino cab. The low end on this cab cannot be matched by any cab I've ever played through, including the Eden, so I went with the Bergantino. Unbelievable bottom, nice mids and highs, and pretty loud. My only regret is that I think that the Eden, with an extra speaker, would've been a bit louder and may have a bit more of the sound I am looking for on the top-end. Actually, when I play through both the Bergantino and my old Hartke Transporter 4x10, it sounds incredible with the Bergantino giving a full low end and the Hartke adding punch and brightness. It's a whole lot of amp to drag around though, but if it's a big enough room not to be overkill, I love that setup.

Had it for 9 months. Certainly appears to be high-quality, but unfortunately haven't been playing enough to know how reliable it is.

Paid around $1000, which probably was too much. I need to learn to negotiate a bit.
To sum up, low end is terrific and the rest of the range sounds pretty good. Not terribly loud. If you want a nice, full sound, go for it. If you want loud punchy and tight, this cab may need a little help.
I tried just about every popular brand, Eden, SWR, Ampeg, Mesa, etc. Eden was the only cab that gave Bergantinos a run for their money, they both sounded good, just tuned differently. There are a number of higher-end speaker manufacturers along the lines of Bergantino, but you'll probably have a hard time finding a dealer to try them out at.
If I had to do it over again I would have to think long and hard about the Eden 4x10. For the ultimate sound the Bergantino needs help on the high end, whereas I think the Edens would have needed help on the low end. Taking this to be true, then it comes down to which sounds better on its own for small gigs that I only want to lug one cabinet to. I would have to play through them both again in order to decide. Like I said, when I was shopping this time around, bottom-end was the number one priority and the Bergantino cab sure has it

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my life. I have tried SWR and Eden and Mesa and Ampeg but nothing is even in the same universe. Note for a second that I don't even actually own this thing, I just played through it while testing out my current amp (an ampeg B2R of all things, imagine this with a better amp, I actually have played it with an ashdown and it just got better). With EQ set flat, it sounded perfect. With a little more bass it sounded perfect with a little more bass. The puch and clarity are unbelievable, its like you are playing through a different head and a different bass, but with your own sound intact. The quality of the tone is sort of what SWR and Eden are going for, that extra hi-fi sound with deep lows and crisp highs, but improved exponentially. The highs are not harsh no matter where you set the tweeter attenuation. Theres just more hi end, but it sounds nice. The lows are super low, but not boomy at all. Very defined and detailed all the way to the lowest notes. The mids are smooth and warm and rich. It will make you cry. Loud too. Like wall shaking loud. Its a four ohm cab so it will draw a lot of power from your amp. It apparently can handle far more wattage then its rated at. The guy at the store said he put about 1000 watts into a Bergantino 1X12 cab before it even protested. This cab is great, the 2x12 is downright frightening. Either one will out perform anything you've ever heard.

I saw a guy buy one just as Jim Bergantino called the store to check in. the store owner told Jim he was ringing it up and Jim requested to speak to the guy personally to thank him. The guy was bugged out by speaking to the guy who built the cab he just bought. Jim apparently keeps in contact with the people who own his products and will fix any problem you might ever run into. Can't beat that for support.

Been playing music my whole life and play a bunch of instruments, but only recently got into bass. Still I have played through a lot of gear and I have never run into anything that impressed me like this. Well, there was this Alembic Europa bass I played once.....To sum it up, this shit is unbelievable. And apparently cheaper than a lot of cabs too.

It's a 600-watt 3x10 cabinet with tweeter. Chances are good that if you're reading this, you've probably been to the www.bergantino.com website and read the product info there. This cabinet is GOOD STUFF all around. Nice and sturdy on all fronts (including the removable casters and the well-placed handles--these things help 87 pounds worth of cab not seem like 87 pounds). It has 2 1/4" jacks and 2 Speakon-type jacks--all wired in parallel. It has a chrome grill that looks great in person--I'm not sure that the photos around the web quite do it justice.

I use a Spector 5-string and an EA iAmp 600 with it. Quite frankly, it's awesome! I'm picky about sound and gear, and was fanatical in my search for a cabinet. I tried most of the regular brands and models out there and had trouble committing to any of them--I always found something wrong that totally unjustified spending the money on them; disappointing several times over, especially because I needed some gear! However, now it's all good beacuse this is what the tone doctor ordered. It handles the full range of the 5-string with balanced, clear, full-range tone--it lets even the smallest adjustments to EQ or playing style be heard very nicely. Slapping, finger tone, everything I do sounds great (DISCLAIMER: I'm no Jaco). This cab does it all.
I do not have any effects at this time, but with the clarity I imagine that good effects would sound good through it.
One thing I noticed about some other cabs. You might get a little more of the "walls a-shaking" elsewhere, but I found that kind of boom is usually useless in terms of good musical sound. I'm a little baffled by the Hz-rating thing that goes on with bass cabs because I'd expect even response on all notes from a cab that's "flat past 30 Hz"--this cab sounds the notes at an even volume (with flat EQ) all the way down the B string, I'm not used to a 10"-loaded cab that can do that... It's what I was really looking for, but the specs would never have told me that this cab is this good. Glad to have tried it before buying anything else, or I'd be selling some gear to get this gear.

No problems so far, and I do not anticipate any--this cab is well made. It shows no signs of stress (no farting or sound breakdown at high volume).

Superb. I talked to Jim Bergantino twice and corresponded with him in E-mail several times prior to purchase. I had been searching for a cab for about a year and was not finding ones I thought were good enough and worth the price--the Bergs are the exception. Admittedly, I was enamored with ratings and specs for gear, even though I was test-listening to the stuff that was available locally as well. He was very helpful in sorting through what the published information about speakers really means--I really appreciate his effort there because I ended up with gear I'm really happy with. (Thanks Jim!) I have no doubt this kind of support would continue over the life of the gear if I were to need it.
Brian Barrett at The Low End (LINK http://www.thelowend.net) was my retailer for the purchase and his support was excellent as well. Obviously supporting your local dealer with your business is a good thing (if they're worthy--I'm sure Berg dealers are...), but if you're planning to buy online or whatever, give Brian a call--he'll take great care of you.

Superb cab--no complaints. I think this would be a risk-free buy for someone that wasn't able to try it first. You can tell that most folks are blown away when they try this brand in person--it certainly lives up to that reputation. I tried the 2x12 as well and actually preferred it to the 3x10 at first because it had a bit weightier sound--I found that it was a little too much for the smaller areas I was actually using it in--the sound of the 2x12 needs a little "room to bloom", meaning it's better at bigger rooms. I found that the 3x10 was a little more consistent in different rooms, even smaller acoustically usually-not-so-good ones. It's a winner.
