Bought new in Dec 2008. Dual 15 inch speakers + 6 inch sealed cab, no ports. Four ohm. Has built in 2 rear wheels and top rear handle so it can be wheeled around like it's on a dolley. Has 2 side handles too. Two speakons and two 1/4 jacks and a volume cut & boost for the 6 inch speaker's high frequency. Weighs 97 pounds (44 kilos) Handles 600 watts RMS. 100db one watt/one meter.

The best sounding bass cab, EVER! When it's considered that bass is bass and the low frequencies are to be felt and the rest of the frequencies of the bass guitar are to be gut punches, this is the bass cab of all bass cabs! Strong, powerful but tight bass output. Not the loose and sloopy bass sound of most 15 inch cabs. If jaw is not strongly ingaged, teeth WILL rattle! The 6 inch speaker does a miracle for adding definition and clarity to the bassy sounding 15s. Together the 2-15s & 6 give a complete full range sound with our amps and bass guitars. For slappers, bass "front men" and other "bass show-offs" this probably is not your cab. You guys need your 4-10 cabs with brittle frequency horns. For those of us who are "true bass players" this is the one! Buy it! It's worth it. Other cheaper cabs don't satisfy and are a waste of money! Ten inch and 12 inch bass cab just can't produce the needed low end like a dual 15 inch bass cab. The NV215 is the best of the best! Once again, buy it! Yes, it weights almost 100 pounds but it's what's needed to do the job! Whimpy cabs equal whimpy sound!

Very, very, very, very, very, very well made! Like so many other manufactured items, treat it right and it'll never fail. Sadly, I did notice some distortion in one speaker at extremely low volume. Rather than send it back for warranty repair, I popped out the 15 inch speaker that was making the bad sound and found that only a few strands of copper were holding into one of the crimp connectors going to the speaker! Most of the other strands had broken away. I bought a new connector ($1.50) and soddered instead of crimp the copper wire. Problem solved. Everything else about the NV215 is so well made but someone did a very bad connection job to the one speakers. I checked the other connections, they were OK. I'd give it a 10 for reliability if not for the bad speaker connection.

Mr. Jim Bergantino is a very nice man! Friendly, intelligent and helpful and fun to talk to on the phone. The warranty is one or two years. I forget. UPS badly damaged my first bass cab and I had to have it picked up and returned back to Jim at UPS' expense. Sadly, he had no more NV215 in stock and I had to wait 3 months for my next bass cab. That's a long time to wait but Bergantino bass cabs are not "run of the mill" mass produced. So, I had to wait but all good things are worth waiting for. The next NV215 bass cab came in safe and sound via UPS. I only had that speaker connection problem that I was able to resolve myself.

Been playing bass since 1967. I play mostly Fender Ps & Js and StingRays. What other basses are there? Thomastik-Infield flat wounds! The best of all flat wound strings! I play bass like a bass and not like some kind of percussion device! Hey Bass Players, wanna bang, slap, snap and beat on something? Be a drummer! The NV215 is the best sounding bass cab for true bass sound! I couldn't play out of any other bass cab because they would be 2nd to last place to the Bergantino NV215. Finally, this is a fairly big bass cab and it is heavy. This is the price we have to pay as bass players for good sound. It takes about a 500 watt bass rig to stand up to a 30 watt guitar amp and we bass players have to hold a bass which is heavier than guitar and we need amplification that is much heavier than guitar. That's the way it is! If we want to sound good, I mean really good..........the NV215 is our bass cab!

This was the last one available for sale new. Made in 2005. It is a sealed box and very clean and tight for a 2x15. It has a top handle so it can be tilted back andf rolled. It also has two side mounted handles for easier lifting. The handles seem very sturdy. It has a perforated metal grill that looks to be black powder coated but I am not sure. Only one input jack so no daisy chaining. 600w/rms@4 ohms. Very light for a 2x15 under 100 pounds (97) if i remember correctly.

I have used this with my 2004 Fender American jazz Bass.Peavey Cirrus 5 string. Peavey T-40. G&L SB-2 (original version 2 J type MDF pickups)Fender 1997 MIM p Bass.
This Cab sounds old school with a difference clean and tight not wolly and dull. Clean clear sound Very tightbut with good high frequency definition due to the 6" mid driver. It is a sealed cab allowing Tube amps to drive it without the deep low clarity loss. With tubes it is deep, punchy,And very articulate. It does the old school tube amp deep, thick, punchy, warm tooby goodness sound without being too HiFi or sterile. This cab does not lack soul. Have driven it with both my Sunn 300T and my Mesa 400+ and they both sound fantastic. I have also driven it with my Mesa M-2000, Peavey FireBass 700-II and Old 60"s Kustom k200-1b Heads and they all sound better than with any of my other cabs. I play mostly Classic Rock/Funk And Blues. I havbe not been able to get the cab to distort But have bren able to get both tube amps to overdrive.

I have only had this cab for a little over a month so don't know about reliability of this exact cab but Bergantino has a very good reputation in all facets of customer service. But I would have no problem using this cab without backup.

I have only been playing a little over a year. I have (Heads) Mesa M-2000/ Mesa 400+ / Sunn 300T / Peavey Firebass 700II / Kustom K200-1B(cabs) Mesa Diesel 2x15 / 2 Kustom b-2x15's (cts speakers)/ Peavey TVX412 / Peavey TX-810 / Sunn 215B (with JBL's) / Kustom 1x18B (floded horn). If the bergantino was lost or stolen I would have to hunt down whoever did it and beat them to get it back these are no longer made so it could not be replaced. I have compared it to my all my other cabs and it wins in every way hands down. The only thing I wish it had is two jacks for daisy chaining. overall a great cab for Most styles.
