I've had this head since about 1987 and it's still going strong. It is a basic tranny amp featuring bass/treble controls plus a sweepable parametric. There's a red button marked 'compressor', but it's more of a limiter really. Lo and Hi Z inputs, effects loop, two 1/4" outputs into 4 ohms total and a headphone output. Direct inject input. Rated 90watts.

I've used it with a range of basses over the years, from a Westone Thunder to my current Yamaha TRB6. It can reproduce a basic tone up to reasonable levels - just enough to compete with your average rock drummer. It's a bit lacking in lower end headroom hence can sound a bit honky. A bit of mid range cut with the parametric is usually necessary.

No problems apart from the pots are getting a bit noisy now. It's been abused with shorted-outputs and all sorts, yet it still lives.

Have dealt with them only once concerning a blown speaker and they replaced it FOC even though it was slightly outside warranty.

Been playing 20 years, and this relic from my youth still finds a use even now. My main rig is now Trace Elliot / ADA, but I still use the Carlsbro for rehearsals and as a monitor power amp.
If it were stolen I'd be pissed off, but would probably replace it with a power amp of some sort now I've got better preamp gear.
