this is a 1980's transistor amp.it has volume, bass and treble pots as well as a5 band graphic eq ang a compressor built in.it has a very loud volume for it's size, and can run 2 extention cabs at 4 0hms.to do this would be very anti- social indeed as it is loud already!i wouldn't be scared to play with a noisey rock band with this.i want it for small to medium club and pub work,so for me at present it is just fine as it is.it is fairly light weight,is on wheels, has two flightcase style handles on it for one person lifting, and also a handle on top for giants to carry it by.
the sound is a good deep bass with plenty of mid and transparent harmonics thru to the top end.I replaced the speaker with a toa 15'' pa driver i had hanging around as this had a small tear in it.
all in all ,i am quite pleased.a good sounding, loud portable and cheap bass amp.carlsbro gear is tough as old boots.it is also easily repaired.
there is a negative revue on here from someone on here who obviously has bought a broken carlsbro stingray 150 bass.
i say to him:if you bought anything that was broken, whatever it was,it would not proform.what do you think of a car with a faulty engine?a broken light bulb, etc.
either fix your amp, give it away, throw it away,or sell it to someone like yourself.
why review obviously broken gear? it's not helpful to anyone thinking of buying one.

ok, this is a solid state, pretty old carsbro bass amp and it sucks big time! It has two inputs, high and low gain, a rediculously bad 5 band eq, and bass and treble controls. It has an built in compressor and a headphone socket. It seems to also have an inbuilt fart machine, which was very thoughtful of them to add....

Sound Quality : 1
This amp is truly the most appalling peice of trash I have ever heard in my life! Both channels sound exactly the same, and the 5 band eq does exactly nothing. It's quite an amusing amp in many ways, as not only will it cut out at the most disastrous time you can imagine, if you venture onto either the e, a, d, and come to think of it, g strings of any bass at all the speaker will have a fit and start jumping around everywhere, producing a noise that is best suited for the type of people who enjoy earthquakes and tinitus. Does manage to annoy the neighbors and anyone in south east england

Reliability : 1
This amp is reliable in the same way that Mariah Carey is talented, ie, it's not. If anyone even thinks about plugging a bass into it, it goes into shutdown and starts ommitting very strange noises that resemble a farmyard animal / farmer being castrated with a spoon. The dissappointing thing is that it doesn't go pshyco in a cool way, as in black smoke billowing everywhere and things exploding off the top of it, it just kinda goes, 'ahh fuck it....' and falls over, destroying anything it happens to land near, such as guitar cases, little brothers and the like.

Customer Support : No Opinion
If I ever wanted to deal with the Carlsbro, I would do something I may regret.....

Overall Rating : 1
This amp is my pride and joy, and I beam with pride everytime I look at it, or something..... It is the biggest pile of bollocks I have ever heard in my entire life, and that's being kind. If it were stolen I would go round to the guy's house and pay him. I would then run around the streets shouting 'halleluhia'. I may have to hire a hit man to take it out, or just accidently dangle it over a cliff, and accidently let go. This amp has potential to be a very good and reliable breeze-block, or an unmovable farting tank of some description. So it's not all that bad i guess..... If you ever see one for sale, attack with a sledgehammer, you will be doing the world a favour.
