Built for me in the spring of 06 The amp has 1000w (bridged) feeding the 2x10 bass combo with Titanium Red Eye HF driver. It's a very loud very versatile combo. I play with a very loud drummer who can drown out many high end bass combos. But this one can hold it's own! Lot's of power, ctive and Passive bass inputs, 3 "Pre-Shape" filters to set the initial "voicing", BASS, TREBLE and PARMETRIC MID sweep controls, 9 Band Graphic EQ - foot switchable, Optical Compressor with Threshold and Ratio controls - soft compression to hard limiting, Optical Noise Gate reduces RF & lighting noise up to 30 dB, Internal CROSSOVER allows easy BIAMPING from 200 to 2k Hz., Master Volume and input Gain controls, DIRECT OUT with bal. XLR & rear LEVEL control with "Pre-Post" preamp and "Ground Lift" switches, EFFECT LOOP switchable by optional FS22 footswitch, Insert jacks for each power amp for stereo inserts or biamp external compressor, TUNER or HEADPHONE output jack, High current SPEAKON? & 1/4 speaker connectors, BRIDGE switch for full power into a mono load - features it's own SPEAKON? and 1/4" jack.

Built like a tank! It's got everything I wanted and from what I can tell it's the lightest most powerfull 2x10 bass combo on the market.

Sound Quality : 10
I ust this bass with my stock Fender Jazz 24, playing Jazz, Funk, Blues, Latin, Rock, and Christian tunes. It's dead quiet and very powerful. I play mostly in small rooms with loud drummers and this combo can do it all. Very versatile, lot's of EQ settings for whatever I need. Been messing with this for a few months now and havent gotten it all figured out yet.

I've had this thing all the way up and no distortion no complaints.

Reliability : 10
No problems yet, but Carvins reputation is such that I would not expect this rig to fail. I saw the owner of Carvin toss one of these amps over 20 feet onto a concrete parking lot with zero effect, so I know they can take anything I can throw at it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not expecting to get to know these guys any time soon.

Overall Rating : 10
Only been playing for just over 1 year, but I did quite a bit of research to find this rig. I had an Ashdown Electric Blue 180 1x15 but it was under powered for the guys I played with so I had to keep up. This combo can make the drummers hair poof back :) and the smiles from my band mates tell me this is the right tool for the job. I looked at the Eden 2x10s and SWR Super Redhead but this one blew them out of the water. So much more power and less weight (68lbs), which makes it easire to cart around. If it ever got stolen I would buy the exact same thing. No buyers regret. Great product!
