Features : No Opinion
Almost a brand new amp. I purchased the amp in March of 2006. At first sight it looks to be a well designed good amp. The amp sounds very dull. Even with a 9-band eq, the tonal aspects of this amp are very dim. After only owning the amp for a few months, it has developed a horrible buzzing noise coming from the speaker cabinets. Carvin has replaced the speakers, horns, and crossovers. No solution. Now i have to mail the head back at my expense, and they don't provide loaners or replacements. I have some very important gigs coming up and i don't have anything to practice on or play. The cost of renting a head cost as much as purchasing one almost. I am just out of luck and strongly disappointed with this amp.

`I play a 2005 Fender American Jazz Bass
`This amp does not suit my tonal needs very much, i play blues, classic rock, and jazz.
`The amp is muddy at high volumes

Reliability : 1
`Obviously not a very dependable amp.
`It is broken down now.

Customer Support : 2
The company has been somewhat helpful, and is going to repair the head under warranty. The nearest dealer or service location is in California, I live in North Georgia.

I have been playing for 7 years. I own a Fender American Jazz Bass, a stratocaster that i have built, a 1982 Ibanez Rg550, a Gibson Les Paul Studio Plus, a Carvin Cobalt 980 acoustic/electric, a Takimine 12-string acoustic/electric, a Marshall Valvestate 100W Head with 4x12 Cabinet. If my amp were stolen, i would definately buy something else, for that money, something cheaper would be an upgrade.
