I bought this for my son who was just beginning. At 50 watts & (1) 12" speaker I figured he could at least be heard in a band setting. He seems to have lost interest so now my bass player will use it for low volume practice. Nothing spectacular on features but with 2 channels & a shape control its above average for the price. Clean.

Mostly used with his 72 Precision Bass or my 98 Epiphone Viola. Again this is a practice amp so rarely used for gigs but we do sometimes for small events on small stages & just mike it. I am dissapointed that it only has a headphone out, rather than a line out, since it cuts off the speaker & can't be used directly into the PA. It has to be miked. Full sound for one 12 which can be contoured with the shape feature.

Reliability : 10
This little bugger is well built. It has been moved around quite a bit & still looks almost new. This is the most impressive thing about this amp. Have never had to touch it in 10 years. It will never make you nervous.

Never had to use them, good job!

This was a great choice for a 1st bass amp. Have never regretted buying it. It also works quite well with my Ovation Balladeer 12 string acoustic. A nice little workhorse.

Features : 6
No interesting features besides the standard 4-band EQ. Two inputs, one 0dB and the second -15dB.

Sound Quality : 6
The sound quality is nothing special, especially since this is an entry-level 50 watt combo amp. It is not loud enough to play with drums and guitar.

Reliability : No Opinion
The most annoying thing about this amp are the input jacks. Unless you get them to stay in exactly the right position they will just start humming with no sound from the input being heard. To get the sound back you have to jiggle the jack randomly until it works again, then hope that it will stay that way, which it never does.

Overall Rating : 4
This amp is only good for at home practice by yourself. Don't buy it if you plan on playing with any other amplified instruments or if you are depending on it to work well for any length of time.
