This cabinet was left by a vocalist who tried out for my old band but never returned to claim it-so I kept it. I'm running a Peavy Mark IV head into this thing and to my ears it sounds very good. This cabinet (crate BE410) is rated 200 watts-I believe it's the older model of this cab. 2 inputs on the back, metal grill.

Using a Fender American P, into the Peavey head and into the cab. PLENTY of lows and volume. There was some farting at higher volumes and pre amp gain but i'm guessing this would disappear if i ran the preamp less hot. I like some response from the amp when i dig in so i keep the gain up. The tone I'm getting is VERY good and i was not expecting this from a Crate-like the other review states this cab sounds vintage. It's VERY warm. I've owned great gear (Mesa Mark IV, Marshall TSL, etc) and this is good stuff.

Great bass cabinet if you're looking for something affordable. If you removed the crate logo (which i've done. who wants to be judged? lol), most pro players would NEVER guess this is a Crate. I'd bet money on that.

This is a brand new Crate 4x10 bass cab. It is rear ported; 4 ports and is rated at up to 400 watts. It is very well built with metal handles, removable casters, and heavy gauge metal grille. I give it a 9 because it's made out of particle board (and heavy), but it has excellent fit and finish and sounds absolutely phenominal.

With my vintage '69 Kustom K200 bass head and a J/P bass, it sounds awesome. Since it doesn't have a tweeter, you don't get the annoying high end hiss and the speakers have great overall response and puch a HUGE ammount of lows thanks to the 4 ports. It, unlike many bass amps, not only has a great clean tone, but it gives a great overdriven tone too with a Boss DS-1 (think John Entwistle at Woodstock sound; i don't play punk music).

I've only had it a few days, but there isn't much to go wrong with a speaker cab that can't be user fixed (though it does have a 5 year warranty).

I've been playing guitar for 9 years and bass for 6, and I have played through/heard many an amp, and out of all of them, I love this one a lot. It sounds similar to the vintage Kustom CTS cabinets that I really like (and own one of), but with about 4 times the low end! It like a vintage bass cab and a modern subwoofer in one, and it's very controllable with the EQ on the amp, so for the price, i'd say it's a great value hands down.
