Already described.
The all-important mid frequencies have two knobs for better tone adjustment. Nice.
The RCA connectors for external sources are also very very handy.
Nice compact little amp.

Sound Quality : 9
Sound quality is not fantastic, but it sounds pretty good. Deep bass, it does start to distort a bit at higher volumes, but this is a PRACTICE amp.
I don't own this amp... but I would get one!
Yesterday I spent 4h playing through one. My bass into this, and two guitars into separate Behringer V-Amp units into a mixer, with the output of teh mixer into the RCA inputs of teh bass amp.
The guitars sounded REALLY good too!

So, with this tiny amp, we got two guitars and bass sounding pretty good, and at volumes capable of annoying neighbours. Definitely loud enough for home.

Bass sound was a bit limited. You can tweak teh tone, but nothing drastic, however the basic tone is good. So I give it a 9, because in this range (practice amps) you will find it difficult to get a better sounding amp. For practice I have a Behringer BXL450A that I think sounds a bit better, but this one is great, punchy, and smaller... I loved it.

Overall... a GREAT practice amp, that allows you to get other sources through with very decent sound. Amplifying guitar modelling units is never easy... what sounds great through headphones sounds crap into a guitar amp... bass and keyboard amps are better for these units, and this tiny Crate is pretty good, if not the best I've heard yet.
I already have the Behringer, if I didn't, I'd look for a Crate BT15 right now!
It does what it does quite well, versatile, portable... and at a fantastic price. It has to get a 10.

For a begginer practice amp, the BT15 has potentially everything you could need. As well as the usual input and headphone jacks it also has an external speaker jack (making it far more flexible) and a pair of RCA jacks which can be used to plug in a CD or MP3 player which is perfect for practicing. I've just used this amp as something to play on in my room when I can't be bothered to lug my gigging rig up the stairs and for that it is absolutely perfect.

Before I got a bigger amp I foolishly tried to use this as a band practice amp which it does not exceed in at all. But then again, the BT15 isn't built for this kind of use.

One thing that really bugs me about this amp is the fact there isn't anywhere to put the mains cord without it falling out. A little bit of velcro or sellotape is needed there.

As well as all the above features, the amp also has a four band equaliser which easily gets the job done.

Sound Quality : 7
I used an ordinary run of the mill Squier Jazz Bass with this amp and it sounded pretty good. It has an even rich sound over every string and the equalisation is very effective. It is noisy enough to be used as a practice amp but thats pretty much it, you will easily be drowned out by a hell wielding drummer.

The amp is perfect for clean bass sounds but without any modelling features say goodbye to any grundge or synth sounds unless using effects pedals. I have even recorded with this amp and found it can be used effectively in this area as well.

On the other hand, recently I have noticed a buzz on any notes I play even when it is at a quiet volume. This has to be down to wear and tear because I don't get the same problem plugging my bass into other amps.

Reliability : 8
This is a dependable amp, it seems pretty strong although I havn't dropped it. It's survived everthing else I've thrown at it. I've played this in church's, village halls and even cathedrals and it has survived going to all those places. The handle also has never let me down. The only problem now is the slight buzz but that in itself is hardly audible.

Have not dealt with them

Overall Rating : 8
For what this amp is designed for, it is perfect. This was the first bass amp I bought when I started out on bass and never let me down during the period of learning. Definately recommended to all begginers.

I'm a beginner at electric/bass guitars, but not to instruments in general. I'm using a Douglas WVEB Violin Bass and an SX GG6 semi-hollow through it and it holds up pretty well. Funk, R&B, blues, and a little rock is what I'm into. It's a good sounding practice amp that has a variety of tones to choose from. A more seasoned vet may demand more, but this works for my situation: home!

Reliability : 8
For practice in a house, its good enough. You could maybe sneak it into a small gig, depending on a variety of factors (size, numbers, etc.). It looks and feels rugged enough to withstand time and moderate abuse.

Aside from basic piano and even trombone playing, I'm a beginner in the guitar world. I own the aforementioned Douglas and SX along with a Yamaha keyboard and an basic old Bundy trombone. I needed a budget-based amp that could also double as a guitar amp (semi-hollow) with enough features to play with and this is what came up. I'd consider buying it again if it were stolen. With the price, features, and ability of this amp, you'd be hard pressed to find something similar.

This is a 2005 1x8" 15 watt solid state amp built for practice. It comes with a four band eq, CD, headphone, and speaker outputs. That variety of outputs is hard to find in an amp in this price range, so an 8 for that.

Sound Quality : 8
Of the amps in this range that I tried when buying this, it had the cleanest and bassiest tones, which is what I was looking for. Distortion is hardly noticeable at high volumes. This also seems to be a more shielded amps than the others - most of the rest I'd tried hummed loudly due to the presence of fluorescent lighting, but this one was dead silent when not playing anything through it. 8 for sounding good regardless of which bass is hooked up to it, but the Yamaha RBX270 I play with this makes it impossible for this not to sound superb (see review there).

Reliability : No Opinion
Feels solid as a rock - though I wouldn't try it, of course, I could probably toss this out a thirteenth floor window and have it dent the pavement without affecting its playing ability in any way. I will need to have it around longer before I can accurately assess how reliable it's going to be, so no opinion for now.

Haven't had to deal with them and probably won't.

Overall Rating : 9
The best sounding of amps in its class, the best shielded, and probably the most durable and reliable. What's not to like?
