It doesn't matter how good they might sound, because he never delivers. Stay far away. He took my money and has been sitting on it for a year.

New 2006 model with the new Eminence NEO driver. Handwired crossover with separate mid/high freq L-pads. Nice tight package. Heavier than I expected given the NEO driver, so one point off for that (lightness is a huge deal for me - was expecting something about 35 pounds - it's about 44 pounds...kind of heavy for a small NEO cabinet). Another point off for some small construction issues (cavities not completely centered, etc.) I really like this cabinet as it moves plenty of air in a small package, but for the price, I will default back to EA for their sound/price/weight ratio.

I use 6 basses with this and my other cabinets...4 and 5 string, fretted and fretless. Unlike the other reviews on this page - my cabinet is actually more bottom heavy than I expected (possibly due to the new NEO driver). I have to add high frequencies on the L-pads to balance the sound. Although the main driver is only rated at 300 watts, this cabinet will take anything you throw at it...no kidding. The hand-wired crossovers will handle and control an obscene amount of power. I would have no issues running 1000 clean watts into this cabinet. Very quiet - no extra noise.

Reliable as a tank - although it is a new cabinet, the spray-on coating and the construction is rock-solid. Almost too rock solid for what I wanted, to be honest, as I really wanted a cabinet weighing about 8 pounds less than this one.

Marc is super nice - great to talk to. I waited over 4 months for this cabinet after paying for it. That was due to the Eminence NEO drivers delivery times. It was a long time to wait, but not Marc's fault. I'm sure his customer service is top notch.

I have expensive and boutique tastes as I've been playing for 20 years. I use Demeter/QSC/EA/Raven Labs gear for my different rigs, and I'm proud of my sound. This cabinet is a well-built tank...and I look forward to using it as my rock rig (we use a full PA for our sound reinforcement, and I use in-ears - so my stage is rig is for the stage volume only). When the bass amp/bass is EQ'd, this cabinet gets a wicked slap and fingerstyle tone. It is a bit colored, however - at least more so than my EA cabinets. To be honest, $530 bucks is getting up there for a small cabinet like this (as in close to boutique prices), and this cabinet isn't quite there yet. Much of this might be due to new drivers that Marc hasn't had a chance to completely "dial-in" with his cabinet design. He'll have a home run if he can get this cabinet NEO-equipped and tonally balanced at a weight of 35-37 pounds. I plan on keeping the cabinet as I waited a long time for it (Eminence's fault, not Marc's) as a one-cab solution to stage volume-only rigs. I should mention that it really shines on top of a 1x15 for outside shows - sounds great for that as the outside arena helps to balance out the lows and highs. (In addition to the fact that the Black Widow 15" speaker on the Peavey 300 is just a fantastic speaker - makes everything with it sound good).

This cabinet features a 12inch 6inch and tweeter in a tight little package. Front ported and VERY well built. Great handles in the right places for portability.

The sound of this little bugger is just incredible. I hooked up my Boogie Walkabout and both my electric and upright basses reveal their true tone.Very, very clean and responsive. Need to tweak the low end a bit. The midrange couldn't be better.

Dr.Bass himself was extremel helpful and had a few lenghty discussions over the phone. Every manufacturer should be as helpful. I would definitely consult and patronize thi guy again.

I have been playing bass for 17 years now. I have been searching for another cabinet now for a year. After reading reviews and numerous spec sheets, I thought I would give this cab a shot.I really think this will be my main workhorse. Well built and a sound to kill for. What else could I ask for? Also the price compared to the HIGH end stuff is a steal. Lastly, Dr. Bass himself really seems to guarantee his product.I can say tht I highly recommend this cabinet.

I've been very pleased with my Dr.Bass 1260. It's loaded with a 12? Eminence neo driver, a 6" mid plus tweeter. It will handle down to the low 30 hz's and is pretty uncolored. It?s not biased as highly toward deep bass as my Acme LowB-2 (extended low 210), but a slight EQ boost takes care of this very easily. The high and mid are similar to the Acme, very detailed and well balanced because of the 3 way design. The highs are very clean and not harsh.
I particularly like the very light resonant signature of 12s vs. 10s. More muscular but still very detailed. Sort of like what a 15 should sound like, only fast and accurate. I also find the 12s project both high and low end further from the stage with less drop off than either my Acme or Eden 210XST.
I certainly have no beef with Eden's 112 (or the Aguilar either) - I tried and liked them both. But the Dr. Bass 3 way design gives you much fuller high and hi-mid detail - the best of both worlds. I haven't tried an Accugroove Tri 112, but except for one less tweeter (the Tri has 2), the Dr. Bass gives you the same config as the Tri-112. Accugrooves are very high end cabs, so the comparison may be bold - but the Dr. Bass costs $400 and the A-groove over $1,000

I haven't had much time to evaluate reliability (3 months), but the cab is built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse. Voidfree 3/4" birch plywood. The thing I like best is that the cab is not covered with carpet or tolex. Instead, it is coated with a super-durable, slick-looking plastic material that seems impossible to dent or scratch. They say it's put on at 240 degrees. I think it may have something in common with the stuff they use to coat pickup truck beds. If it gets something on it, it wipes right off.

This is the best part:
The Dr Bass cabs are relatively new on the market - only a few folks I know have tried them. Marc Serio, who builds them is a bassist and 20 year veteran of PA and club system design. Their website is drbasscabs.com. I'd recommend you call Marc if you are interested or even curious. He will take time to find out what you want, then help you find what will work. He has lots of designs and is very flexible. He will configure and load a cab the way it best works for you. If this was not good enough, he sells all this high end quality and service for far less dinero than Eden, Epifani, EU and the rest of the hifi manufacturers.

I've been playing for over 30 years and have owned a lot of gear. I paly through an Alembic preamp and superfilter into a QSC 2402. My other cabs are an Acme LowB-2, an Eden D210XST and a BagEnd S18 ELF sub. If this cab were lost or stolen, I'd replace it in a heartbeat. It fits what I want perfectly.
