Pretty standard package. More heavy and bulky than most 2x10s, but that gives you more sound.

Sound Quality : 9
This was my main cab in a Funk/Disco band for a few years. I loved the tweeter. It's not "natural" but hey: this is a bass amp speaker, not a studio monitor. For slap style, it's juicy and sweet!

The lows aren't particularly overwhelming. For the gigs I was doing, I should have probably sprung for the 4x10 model. There is a nice low-mid bump that gives you a nice, authoritative presence up to a certain volume level. The larger box size with all the extra porting helps, but you have to realize, there's only so much two 10-inch speakers rated for 350 watts can do. Up to moderate volume levels, this box sounds great.

Reliability : 9
I blew a tweeter bulb-fuse once or twice. My fault, cranking the holy heck out of the treble then doing string pops as hard as I can. (When you see the bulb flashing light from inside the enclosure, it might be time to back off a bit...) Easy enough to replace the bulb - just pop the panel off.

Construction is good. I give my Acme higher marks for the metal corners & recessed metal jack panel. But Eden is on a par with SWR and Aguilar and is ready to be used on a van tour.

Overall Rating : 9
This was my first good speaker and I played hundreds of gigs with it and always enjoyed the cab.

If you like the Eden sound (low-mids with a juicy tweeter) and don't get too loud, this could be a good standalone cab. It is bulky and heavy for a 2x10, but it's beefier than most. I eventually favored the humongous bottom end and great portability of my Acme 210. But the Eden was almost as potent (albeit in the low midrange) and it sure did put less strain on my power amp!

8 ohms. I think the tweeter is actually good, and turning it up does not generate nearly as much harshness as in other cabs. It is a deep cabinet and is more awkward to carry than the 4x10 I own (Bag End Q10XD). The handles are horribly uncomfortable. True, I'm not very tough.

Features rating is low as it's too much sweat for this cab.

Sound Quality : 7
Compared to most 2x10s out there, this is in fact a great cabinet. I bought it initially b/c I wanted a cabinet with growl. And this is the most rockin 2x10 out there for growl. After growing up (which has happened too late in life, but it happened), I realized that clarity was the number 1 priority. this cabinet unfortunately is not very clear.... Now, I'm not putting Eden down, because I got what I asked for. Eden's XST series sounds gorgeous in a live band mix (and I'm sure it shines in the studio as well) because of it's clarity and definition. I just don't like the sound of any XLTs anymore. Clarity is important. Hence the 7.

Also, being a 2x10, it's wattage is limited to the 300s..... however, the XST 2x0 apparently handles 400+ watts.....

Reliability : 10
It's dependable. Nothing ever went wrong with it, and I was cranking 200 tube watts into it for a year and a half.

I paid too much for this thing used.... New, they are not worth the money for the sound that you get out of them.... 800$ CAD should get you a 2x10 and an all inclusive trip to Mexico. sort of. If you are going to spend this much money on a 2x10, make sure you find NO FLAWS it it's sound and ensure that you don't have to play very loud.

If you insist that a 2x10 is enough for power and tone for what you play and you want good clean warm sound, I suggest trying the 210XST by Eden... it costs more, but apparently, many use it as a stand alone cab and it sounds incredible.

As well, as outlined above, I never found this cab to be very portable for a 2x10.

A 210 cab w/ tweeter and it's adjustable. I have the 8 ohm version. I was looking for a small somewhat light weight cab. Nice finish and well made. Very versatile for the different styles I play.

Sound Quality : 9
Great sound, but it lacks a little bottom when pushed but that's the way the cab was designed. If I wanted more bottom I would have gone with the XST. However this is a great sounding cab and I have two for louder gigs, and I get plenty of bottom whan using two. So that is a very minor issue.

Reliability : 10
I bought 2 cabs used and they have never been a problem. The are very well made. I opened one up and the bracing and quality of wood are surperior to most. Built like a tank. speakon connections, adjustable tweeter, one of the first cabs I've owned where I did not have to fight a grill that rattles.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing many years and this is what I always wanted. Small modular cab, with a big sound. Although the weight is a bit more than I would like, it's not bad, and I would rather give in to weight than tone.

This is a 2003 Model Eden D210XLT 8 Ohm loaded with 2 10 inch woofers and one ajustable cast tweeter. The connections on the back are two quarter inch, one bannana plug style and the knob to adjust the tweeter. My band plays Blues with a Funk/Jazz influence.

Sound Quality : 7
I play either my Tobias 5 sting or my Lakland 5 string through an Eden WT550 head then straight into the D210XLT. Until recently I would use only the D210XLT cab and it sounded good except for the very low lows at high volume. Since adding the D115XLT I have falling in love with this cab all over agian. The D210XLT handles the highs, mids and low mids beautifully. The D115XLT picks up the lows with style. I will probably never use the d210XLT as a stand alone cab again, but with the 115 as a sub, it is great. If you play 5 string and are looking for a stand alone cab, I would not recommend it.

Reliability : 10
Bullet proof so far. I have had lots and lots of gigs through it and it is still solid. I take good care of my music equipment so I can not speak to how it holds up to abuse.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed them.

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing bass for 7 or 8 years with regular gigs for the past 5. I would definitely replace any of my Eden equipment if it were lost or stolen. It is solid for highs, mids and low mids down to the E string. If I play below E, it slopes off quite a bit. I purchased this cab on reputation and did not do too much comparisons.

David Eden 2x10XLT Cab. With a tweeter and tweeter control. Not much in the way of features but a cab is a speaker box with speakers. Has carry handles, 68 lbs.....Nuff said........

Sound Quality : 10
It has great tone. I drive it with a Ampeg Portabass PB250 plenty of powe for my needs. I recommend this cab. It has wonderful tones. Built like a tank. Solid well built. I can drive this cab hard and it will not buzz or distort. Very clean tones. It will show what you know. If you're a sloppy player everyone will know it. Great looking too.

Reliability : 10
I would gig without a back up. Can always plug into the PA if nesasary.

Customer Support : 10
I've heard they will take care of you. Haven't had to use them yet......

Overall Rating : 10
I would buy it again if something happened to it. Just a great sounding and looking cab. They are a little pricey new, pick one up used. Money well spent.

I bought this cabinet used for $350. I am a professional musician with a degree in music. It is by far the best bass cabinet I've ever played. The craftsmanship is outstanding. It is a tank... which means it is somewhat indestructible but heavy and bulky.

Sound Quality : 10
Warwick thumb 5, status, carvin, etc. The horn in this cabinet makes it a FUNK machine!!! If you don't like it, roll it off. The sound is unbelievable.

Reliability : 10
Just got it. But, I have another 4/10 eden that I've used for years. No problems at all.

We'll find out. I have a cracked plastic corner. Just contacted them today via email.

I've been played stringed instruments for 20+ years. I've owned SWR, Eden, Fender, GK, Hartke, Musicman, Status, ...... and Peavey.

Dual ported. 2x10 speakers. This is the 4 0hm version.
Adjustable horn.
Easy to move around. Fits in the back seat of my sedan.
Plese read the other reviews for technichal specs.

Word of mouth led me to try and buy this cab and I haven't regretted it since.

I play blues primarily. I don't do much popping (slapping) and really don't play too aggressivly.

I play through an Eden highwayman head and sometimes an Ampeg SVT ProII. I use this cab with an Ampeg SVT 15" sub.

THis Eden cab is an excellent stand alone cab for small clubs and coffee shop gigs where you don't need to be blaringly loud. But I hardly use it without the sub. But don't take that wrong, This cab is rated at 300watts, I think, and can really crank if you want to. It never ever buzzes or clips out when I push it. I've never had a problem cutting through the mix. It holds its own and does exactly what it was built to do. it retains the sound of the bass as if you were almost playing acoustically. It doesn't color the sound which is a good thing.
The dual porting design is unmatched and pushes alot of air for its small size.

These cabs are built really well. And sound even better.

Reliability : 10
Solid. Never had any problems.
I would use it without a back up.
If it did for some odd reason give me trouble in the middle of the gig, I'd go on with just the 15" sub.

Customer Support : 10
Excellent. Very helpful. they answered my questions before I bought it.
I was unsure about what ohm cab I need to buy to go with my sub. They were helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 20+ years. I've been with the same blues band for about 6 years.
I would buy another 2x10 if it were stolen. It's a geat cab.
What do I love? The sound. The sound. The sound. The EC-1060XL speakers are top notch.

I compared it to Aguilar's 2x10. The shop didn't have any other comperable cabs to test. But I already knew this was the cab I wanted.
For the money, I could not ask for a better cab. I saved about $250 off the new sticker price. I would not hesitate to get another 2x10.
But I think I'd upgrade my Ampeg sub for a 15" Eden before I get another 2x10.

Like I said, Word of mouth led me to try and buy this cab and I haven't regretted it since. It's awesome!

Eden 2x10 XLT Bass speaker cab with two 10" speakers and horn tweeter with tweeter level adjustment.
It comes in 8 or 4 ohm versions, I have the 4 ohm version.
It has two 1/4" speaker jacks and on the rear panel. The two TRS jacks, a pair of binding posts/DB inserts, and the tweeter control.
Alot of features for being only a speaker cabinet.

Sound Quality : 10
Okay...
I've had this cabinet for one year now. I bought it in early March 2003. I didn't want to write a review until I put this cab through its paces.

**Too many people write reviews of products they recently purchased and it's not fair to YOU, the prospective buyer. At least, that's what I use HarmonyCentral for...word of mouth yays and nays on gear.** So, I'll try to be as objective as possible.

THIS CABINET ROCKS!!!!!
Did I get my point across?

I play Hard Rock, Blues-Based Rock and Punk ie: Motorhead, Janes', Addiction, Allman Brothers, Big Head Todd, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stoneage.

I play an American Series Fender Jazz Bass through an Ampeg SVT Classic Head (300 tube watts) through only this small Eden 2x10 XLT.

This cab is incredible. It handles so much power so effortlessly without clipping. The speakers are remarkable. They never have farted out and the tweeter never once has hissed at "stupid loud" volumes. These cabs are really well-made. I thought for sure I was going to have to buy two of them to play along with my guitarist and drummer....no need. These 10" speakers handle very lound volumes very easily. And if you play a large venue, they'll certainly have you hooked up to the P.A....so no need for a massive rig.

This cab is punchy when I slap and thunderous when I play hard with a heavy pick. It reacts really well to the dynamics of my playing.
It's such a good little cab and I have no problem transporting it when necessary.

I recommend this cab.
I've never played any other Eden cabs but I trust they are as rock solid as this version.

This cab deserves a TEN all the way!!!

Reliability : 10
Solid. Reliable. Easy to maintain. Needs nothing but and amp to power it.
Never had a problem.

Never called them. I'd deal with the dealer first.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for nine years. This is the only bass gear that I own. And is the only bass gear I'll ever need to own.
If it were stolen, I'd replace it with the same exact model, but only after I got done freaking out.
I compared it to Ampeg, SWR, Hartke, and EBS. This was the clear winner for me and the sound I was looking for. The price is fair for the quality that you get.

Although I don't really need another one, I'm tempted to just go out and get one because I'm so impressed with the creamy deepness of the tone in provides. It's really a fine instrument in and of itself.
I'll never get bored with it or the rest of my rig.

2x10 with variable tweeter crossover, with a front air vents on the top and bottom. This is what seperates this cabinet from the other 2x10's. I actually only own the Eden 2x10xt with the one vent on the bottom, and that moves some serious air through, but having the one on top makes this the best 2x10 amp on the market period.

Sound Quality : 10
I usually say that it doesn't matter what company you go with, when you get to the top of the line stuff it all sounds really good, its just personal preference. That pretty much goes with any instrument out there. But in this case the Eden 2x10 beats out all of the competition.

Its not the speakers even, (although they are outstanding) its all about the front air vents. The more air that it moves, the better the bass response. This is actually how the bose home theaters can sound great with such a small size.

I play with the 2x10, and an old swr 1x15 cab, with the old swr red faced 350 and an ernieball/music man stingray 5 (and I like to use the boss GT6-B too).

Very often at shows, I'll just use the eden 2x10 and that has never failed me. I play in a rock, reggae, funk, punk band and I like to get a really solid bottom end much like 311 and incubus.

I actually got the 2x10 because when I was going away to college I wanted something that could handle the low B string, and it was the only 2x10 out that did it really well. Actually it sounds alot better than many 4x10's. And the Eden 4x10xlt blows away the ampeg 8x10's

Reliability : 10
its been dropped and abused to the greatest extent. I've taken this all over the place and I've never had a problem. This amp I bought used in 1999 and it was really old at that point. It's carpet is thinning and smells like beer and smoke from the bars its been through, and the grill has some rust on it, but it sounds awesome every night

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with them

Overall Rating : 10
I would get the XLT next time. I've actually been thinking of getting rid of my SWR 1x15 and running 2 of the 2x10XLT's. I've also been thinking of using my old XLT as a sub for my car and then just taking it out when I have a show, so I don't have to lug it back and forth from my house.

If someone tried to steal it, I would run them down considering I don't think they'd get away quickly trying to run away with a 65 LB cabinet in their arms.

biding posts are great for connection with eden amps, but i am yet to see another amp with these connections. i used a great 8 guage directional braided speaker cable for the connection ($2.50 per ft.)
adjustable tweeter is pretty standard these days. speakon connections would be a good addition.

Sound Quality : 10
sound very articulate. i play a modulus q4, and the cab really brings out the clarity of the istrument. good high end response and clear punchy mids that have a tonne of push. bass response is good for a 210, and it sounds great in a small jam space. but in a larger, more open venue(anything but an average sized room), the cab definately looses its "throw" i the lower registers. they tend to "disperse" or "dissapate" so to speak. this is where a 15" or 18" would be nescessary. i give it a 10 because it's the best 210 i have ever heard.

Reliability : 7
unfortunately, this is where the cab has fallen short for me. i played on it for about a year and then the drivers started to go on me. i didn't even play it that much or very lound but instead, had my gutarist play my bass through it one drunken jam sesh. after his shortlived victor wooten impersonation ended, the drivers sounded blown. he used my swr bass 350, whitch in my opinion is a "fake" 350 watts on half volume at the time. so upon discussion with the bass manager at long&mcquade, he said that this was happening to a lot of these cabs! anyhow, since the damage was only minimal (small wrinkle in the cone) i had a local repair shop perform their "routine medical procedure"for the damaged eden drivers. this consisted of painting on an epoxy resin stiffener to the rear of the cones to prevent futher damage (60$ can.) the end result was suurprising.... they sound like new again!

Customer Support : 9
good customer service. i phoned the can distributor and was phoned back promply.
