Typical 4x10 cabinet w/ horn

Great low-end

Reliability : 2
I blew a speaker after just 1 month. I am a veteran bassist of 25 years, this was my 1st blown speaker ever. Their customer service was difficult to deal with, they do not return phone calls, and charged me $100 shipping costs to replace their defective product. Now that is NOT very American!!!!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Horrible....just read above remarks

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Hard to say. Cabinet sounded great for 1 month till a speaker blew. Their customer service is horrible. You better get an insurance policy on Edens.

This 410 cabinet has great features. The four ten inch speakers seem to handle a lot of power as well. I use this amp primarily in my hiphop/jazz band. Since there are no DJ's with 808 triggers it is up to me to provide subsonic dub sounds. This cabinet fits the bill perfectly. I also used this in my job 'karaoke band' which consisted of the band playing over the CD of the cover song we were doing(not something I created). This cabinet allowed me to hear what I was playing (even though nobody else could because the sound man was told not to turn us on in the house speakers...awesome!).

Sound Quality : 10
Like I mentioned above. This cabinet can handle ultra dub lows as well as great mid and high ranges. The sound of this cabinet is very very great. When I first played it on a gig I actually noticed how good it sounded. Perfect for the hiphop/jazz band I am in.

Reliability : 6
Pretty reliable though I have had to replace several speakers because of blown drivers. Luckily the service center was authorized (up until this last time, read below) so it wasn't too pricey to get fixed. The speakers seemed to blow a little to often for my tastes but this cabinet sounded so good for awhile it was easy to overlook.

Customer Support : 1
Here is my beef. The last time I took in this cabinet for repair, they warned me upon entry that it may cost a bit more because they were no longer an 'authorized service center'. I took my chances and told them to call with a price estimate. When they called, a very apologetic rep from the service center stated that it would cost nearly the price of the cabinet TO REPAIR A COUPLE OF BLOWN SPEAKERS because they were no longer 'authorized'. No worries says me I will just contact EDEN and find out where another authorized center exists. Calling EDEN I got ahold of the sales rep for the area I live in who informed me that there WAS NO SERVICE CENTER located in Arizona where I live. NOTHING IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE STATE!!!!! So basically I am out of luck with this cabinet.

Overall Rating : 5
When I purchased this cabinet I thought that I had finally found the sound I was looking for. I was very happy with it until the above mentioned problems happened. For awhile the sound made up for its shortcomings as far as speaker durability and the like. I was set to go all EDEN by purchasing one of their heads to power my rig. When I ran into the above mentioned problem of not being able to get it repaired if and when it broke, I now think I will stay away from EDEN. It is interesting that something so easy like having an authorized repair center in the state I live in, not exist. What a terrible way to keep customers if they cannot even find a place to get an amp repaired. SO if you live in AZ, wait till they grant 'authorization' to another service center before purchasing an Eden product. If it breaks you are out of luck unless you want to spend gobs of cash just to get it working again. I was set to sell my SWR megalioth cab because I had found a soulmate for my bass. Until it broke and is now a table. SO I fell back on the old foundation of my SWR MEGALIOTH which has consistently performed for many years(I got one of the first) without any major problems. I always figured that a 'boutique' bass amp manufacturer would step up when it comes to repairs and the like. EDEN has failed miserably. And it has nothing to do with the sound. It has everything to do with durability. Something that sounds great is no good if it constantly breaks down.

Originally I coupled this amp with a 118 Eden sub powered by an SWR 750 head. I ran/run my bass through a Sansamp Bass Driver then into the head. The bass I play is a 5 string Fender American P-bass deluxe. Now I run the same head through an SWR Megalioth cab. Hooray!

Same Features as listed in the other reviews. 2002. Large heavy cabinet for a 4x10. Well-built. Expensive when compared to similar cabinets. The handles should be higher than they are to make it easier to pick-up.

Sound Quality : 7
I bought this used and without having heard it up front. I was very excited because I thought that my search for the perfect cabinet was over. Everybody raves about it so it must be great right? Costs more than the others so it must be the best, right? Not necessarily. Although the sound is OK, I was dissapointed with it. It has boom, but the mids are 'scooped' out too much and it doesn't sound clear.

Now, you say, well what kind of equipment are you using? Well, my own rig is a Carvin BB-75 5-string into a Trace Elliot SMX12 preamp into a SWR ST-800 power amp. This rig has plenty of power and clarity to drive this cabinet. Still Too Much 'Scoop', so I sold this cabinet after 2 weeks of dissapointment.

I also frequent a rehearsal studio which has an Eden WT-800 stacked ontop of 2 XLTs. Nice looking, but again, the sound does not impress me. Way too much boom and not enough clarity in the mids. I fiddle with the controls and can't get the sound I need.

In comparison,I've heard the SWR Goliath III and Goliath Sr. and even my Hartke XL2.5 cabinet are alot more pleasing sounding. Granted, the Goliath Sr. is a 6x10, but this was the cabinet I finally settled on. It sounds beautiful, powerful, clear and deep. Covers all styles, small or large venues, and size-wise, not much bigger than the XLT.

Reliability : 9
Was fine for the 2 weeks I had it. Seems to be well built and durable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No experience with them.

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing for 30 years. I started out playing cheap basses into Peavey amps. The amps lasted forever, but over the years, I outgrew the Peavey sound. I got into SWR, Trace, Hartke to get the nicest sounds out of my more expensive basses. Music styles range from Classic Rock, Alternative, Punk, Reggae.

Not sure when it was made. Has binding posts and 1/4" jacks, tweeter attenuator, no casters on mine.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm a very casual player and didn't feel qualified to write a review when I first got it. Then I got a chance to take it over to a friend's house, where four other bassists gathered, bringing their own amps, basses, etc. At the end of the day, we all had different impressions of the different gear, except for the 410XLT. *Everyone* wanted it, whether they played slap/funk, rock, or folk.

Reliability : 10
I bought mine used from Bass Northwest and had it shipped across the country. If you couldn't see the former owner's pet's hair on it, you'd swear it was brand new.

Customer Support : 8
Never had to call them, but I liked the fact that I could download a copy of the owner's manual online. Eden's web site has other useful information as well.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 15 years now, albeit never professionally or even all that seriously. I just like making bass noises. I've owned Peavey and Crate amps, and had the chance to good off with several other brands. Before I bought it, I auditioned G-K, Ampeg, SWR, and Crate. To hell with those other brands; I'd rather have my Eden than any two of the other guys.

I like the tweeter control knob and the fact that you can completely turn the tweeter off if needed. I got mine used, and the casters frequently fell off, but i fixed the problem with some handiwork.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm running an ampeg SVP preamp and QSC RMX1450 power amp into it. I also play guitar and have used it with a Fender dual showman reverb.

This thing is incredible. I have only played through SWR and Ampeg at home, and through a few other brands at the store, but this cab is really superior to those.

I really like it because it will accurately reproduce the sound that you put into it...meaning you can hear if you have a crappy Squire or a Modulus. Other cabs I have played on, especially Ampegs, tend to make all basses/setups sound similar. As other reviewers have mentioned this cab also has an amazing amount of low-end oomph.

It even sounds pretty good for guitar, which is very useful because I can just run everything through one cab at gigs.

Reliability : 10
I bought it used and it has almost no signs of wear. I don't see how this cab will ever meet its end...except for the casters it is built like a tank.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't contacted Eden, but the tech page on their website looks like they really know their stuff and would be happy to help you out with any problems.

Overall Rating : 9
What are you waiting for go out and get one! The price tag is steep, but you can find them used for ~650 on Ebay. I got mine from a seller who didn't realize the value of it.

One more thing...this cab is ~95 pounds and I am able to just barely make it fit in the backseat of my Mazda Protege so take that into consideration before buying one.

i think my cab is from the early 90's. banana plugs, 1/4" plugs, and tweeter atenuator. casters are a bit too small for me, only because all the sidewalks are cracked to hell. front ports like crazy for deep and unmatched low end.

Sound Quality : 10
this is by far the best sounding cab i have ever heard with the exception of the eden 210xlt. the low end is totally unmatched. i play hard rock and everyone of my peers swears by the ampeg 8x10, but they just don't know what they're missing. even with half as many speakers the tone is still so much better and truer. very loud too. i think the best combo to have if you need a lot of sound is the 410xlt with the 210xlt. i think that combo is unsurpassed in tone and versatility.

Reliability : 9
i bought my amp used 5 years ago. i have recently re-coned the speakers. eden does it for $60 each. they told me it was probably about time as the cab is about 8 years old. (also i should add that i push this thing hard) it has been great otherwise and since.

Customer Support : 10
super nice people. very helpful, very knowledgable. i love this company.

Overall Rating : 10
overall the best thing i've heard. i've been playing for 15 years. i've heard and played on alot cabinets. this one is simply the best. the only thing i wish it had were bigger wheels. this beats the crap out of ampeg in terms of range and tone, trace eliot is a joke in comparison. SWR comes close.

4x10 with horn. Jacks on cabinet for banana plugs & 1/4" speaker cable. Also attenuator knob for horn. Pretty heavy, but still fits into the back seat of my '95 Toyota Corolla. I run it with a Eden WT-800 amp. The wheels are a lifesaver. Plastic corners are neither here nor there...perhaps metal would be more sturdy. Mine haven't cracked yet though.

Sound Quality : 9
Punchy, tight, clean sound. These cabinets have a nice, clean bass sound. Of course, you put into it what you get out. I play the Eden WT-800 amp with a Rickenbacker bass. People (musicians) have never complained to me about the sound of this amp, but the Rick...well, that's another story...

Reliability : 8
No real reliability problems. I did blow one speaker after about 6 months, but that's because the cab is rated for 700W and I was running the 800W bridged output of the WT-800 into it, with a distortion pedal. Needless to say the transient signals were too hard on the cab, and I learned my lesson...cost $150 to replace one speaker from Eden. As long as you keep the power within the rated specs, you'll have no problem.

Customer Support : 7
I've found getting in touch with Eden support a bit dicey. When I talk to them, it's great, but getting in touch with them (I usually call) is not easy. I left a message about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard back.

Overall Rating : 9
This cab is a great value, especially if you can find one used. Built tough, sounds great. I'm planning on getting another one so I can really crank the WT-800!

Basic 4x10 speaker with casters and a volume adjust for the tweeter. Only accepts 1/4" or banana plugs.

Sound Quality : 10
One word to describe the sound - awesome. The cabinet provides excellent low end response with a cutting midrange and pleasing highs. The highs never become two harsh even with the attenuator knob cranked. I bought this speaker for it's ability to cut through a stage full of other instruments and love it's tone with a fretless bass. Very, very loud cabinet with an earthy tone that is not too refined.

Reliability : 9
After owning the speaker for two years (and recently purchasing a second one), I have had no problems with anything. In relation to last reviewer, I never take the casters off and have never had them fall out when carrying the amp.

Customer Support : 7
Eden has always returned my emails within a couple of days. However, I am still waiting for the speaker cover that I order online over three months ago.

Overall Rating : 9
Again, an excellent speaker for just about any style of music - a little pricey though.

Four 10" speaker and one cast bell horn. 98 pounds. 700 watt capacity.
I have a 8 ohm but they also make a 4 ohm. It has wheels but this as to what I have experienced, is a flaw. As you pull out the wheels as I like to lay the cabinet on the floor, the slots holding the wheels will weaken. While transporting the cabinet you will find the wheels falling off. Mesa Boogie sells a kit where the wheels slide in and lock. Then you press a button and the wheel slides out. I have it on since 96 with no problems.
The cabinet over all is very durable and can take a beating. But the wheels are the flaw and thats why it gets an 8. If you leave it on its a 9 or 10

Sound Quality : 10
The sound is its strong point which it should. It is very clean and has a nice mid scoop point that is pleasing to my ear. I have not changed the speaker since I bought it in 96. I think I should but it still sounds great. Its a cabinet you will not need to replace. At 98 pounds I would guess you would buy something lighter for the smaller type gigs. But it loves power so when you need it it can produce. It has a very articulate bottom end and a pleasing high end. You will find very little to complain about when it comes to this cabinets sound.

Reliability : 10
Its a very reliable cabinet and again I've had it since 96 with no problems. I had to change the fuse but its really a "light" fuse which you can get at a car supplies store for 1.99. Don't bother going to a music store or a electronic shop. You will get ripped off.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never needed to call.

Overall Rating : 9
The only flaw is the wheels, but many never take them off. Other than that its a great cabinet to own. It will last and the sound is great.
You can't go wrong with this cabinet. Its in the top 3 cabinets made today. Its all what you like to hear.
