I believe my combo was made in 1999 (300 watts at 4 ohms). I play what I would call modern rock/jam band, and the amp has great tone. The EQ allows for plenty of versatility. I use this amp to practice at home as well as for gigs, and it performs admirably. I typically plug directly from the amp to the PA via the XLR output. I haven't had any issues with volume (at least not yet). Volume will increase once I get an extension cabinet.

Sound Quality : 9
My main bass is a Reverend Rumblefish (2 J-pickups), and the sound is fantastic! I also play a Carvin B5, and the B sounds great! As I said before, this combo offers plenty of versatility. Good for any style music. The tone is great. Even a fellow bassist commented on how great my tone was. It will take a while to get used the EQ as with any other amp, but you'll love the EQ when you find that perfect sound!

Reliability : 8
I do use it without a backup, and as long as I take good care of it I don't foresee any problems. I bought it used, and it did need a new 10" driver because the magnet on the old driver was cracked (not sure how that happened).

Customer Support : 8
They typically do not respond to e-mails, but they are friendly over the phone. The repair of the driver was done by a local audio business, but they ordered all the replacement parts directly from Eden. The warranty was two years (from 1999), so it was not fixed under warranty.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for about 7 years. Other gear I own includes a Reverend Rumblefish 4-string, Carvin B5, and Peavey Basic 60. I would certainly consider buying this combo again if it was lost or stolen, but I'd also consider an Eden Metro combo or separate Eden head and cab. There's nothing I hate about this combo. It's the best amp I've ever played through, and I've played through Hartke (3500 and 4.5XL), Fender (Bassman combos), and little else.

2000 year model
I play a wide variety of styles, blues, rock, jazz and worship, this amp covers them all beutifully.
has one channel, effects loop, headphone jack, although the headphone jack does not mute the speakers, you have to reach around back and unplug the speakers. Has great semi parametric EQ (lets you cut/boost very specific frequencies in the mid range), enhance control, compressor bypass, line out XLR with line out level control, ground lift, AUX in and tuner out jack. I use all these features.
Also has built in wheels and a retractable handle, makes transpoting very easy, even up stairs, a feature that was very important to me
I play small to medium venues, Has gobbs of headroom.
This thing is amazing when you add a 4X10

Sound Quality : 10
I play an Ibanez SG300 with P an J pickups and a Yamaha Fretless with single coils.
very quiet, fan cycles on when it starts getting hot(long sets at high volume) and the cycles offwhen it cools down, amp does not make noise like alot of high power amps.
With the EQ and enhance controls it has a very broad range of sounds

Reliability : 10
This amp is built very rugged, I do use it without a backup,
Never had a problem

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never had any contact with them

Overall Rating : 10
Played Guitar for many years, started playing bass a year ago, I own a Gretch electic, Marshall amp, Crate amp, gorrilla practice amp, an Orlando accoustic, Digitech and Korg effects, and a Vintage Tiesco electric and amp I got when I was 10 years old!
If it were lost or stolen I would definatly try to buy another.
I love the fact that its easy to transport, fits on the front seat of my truck, the retractable handle and wheels are cool, gobbs of power,
I do wish it had a tilt back feature, but it is small enough to fit on my amp stand.
I compared this side by side with my fretless to a GK RB700 2X10 combo, I liked the GKs handle and tilt back design, but could not get the GK to sound the way I wanted, The GK is a nice amp, it just didn't have my sound, and that really what we're talkin'about here today.
I wish it had the GK handle and tilt bak design.
