Features : 5
cxc212 combo; bought new this month(8/06/04)
I play mostly classic rock and motown/funk, and I was totally disappointed by the lack of balls!! Why would this combo come out of
the box at 8 ohms??? you shouldn't have to run another cab to get the full power @ 4ohms..I feel that Eden misrepresented the facts...

Sound Quality : 4
I play a Fender Jazz 4 string and p-bass; both are early 70's
I don't usually go direct to board, I like the full raw sound that the bass cab projects, but couldn't get enough power to keep the unit from clipping even at med.volumes.

Reliability : 7
already got rid of unit and replaced with a euphonic i800 combo/12"
and for larger gigs I run an ext cxl 112 EA. Talk about amazing!!!
I guess I can't knock Edens reliability, didn't keep it around long
enough to find out.

Customer Support : 1
since US music took over Eden has gone way down. tried to talk to
service about power issues and the dude hung up on me. Guess that says it all for me!!

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I've been playing for 30 years. I've toured with original bands and
played just about every style of cover music from bars to college
stadiums..I just love that Allman Bros.style, fat, sweet, groovin'blues bass. and if my back could handle it I'd use an svt 8/10, but alas I can't, so I recommend the EA stuff..Eden good for studio or small gigs, but didn't do it for me on the bigger stage.

I use a couple different basses with this set up, I have a Bass Company 524, American Std Jazz deluxe, and a Yamaha Attidue 5 string. I play just about every style except country! The amp it self is very quiet! Ampeg & Swr tend to 'flavor' the sound, where as Eden lets you hear what your bass sounds like. I like the 12's never thought I would for bass, I used 15's for years, but with this cabinet I get the punch of a 10" and most of the bottom of a 15". with compact size of this combo I am blown away.

Reliability : 9
Very dependable, haven't had a problem yet!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I havent had need of them so far!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about 5yrs now, I dont own any other set ups, I definately buy another if it was stolen, but I think next time I would buy seperate head and cabinet. I played thru SWR,Ampeg, Fender, Warwick.... they just didn't come close this thing! I would add a horn on to it though just a bit more on the high end would make it incredible!
