Product: Eden D112XLT Cabinet
Price Paid: USD 450

Features : 8
Feats:
- volume regulated knob for tweeter adjustment
- Front ported
- 12" lightweight cab

Sound Quality : 10
the soundquality gets an 8 for me, but within the specifics of sound quality, sound volume should be taken into consideration too!
And this cabinet is louder than most 15" and 210" cabinets!
For that I give it a 10.
It lacks some lowend, but nothing compensate-able by placing this cab in a corner or close to a wall on the floor, or by doubling this cabinet with a similar cab.
In many cases this cab sounds better in pairs or in a corner where the lowend get a little push.

Reliability : 10
100% rugged construction, won't break down easily!

Customer Support : 8
They have a great and helpful forum! I've never really used CS, but I heard from many that to be lacking a bit.
But nothing you can't get from the forum!
So,an 8!

Overall Rating : 9
9 because:
8 for a single, an 10 for a dual D112XLT!

Price is right, and a dual D112XLT in most cases will be loud enough for most gigs.

1 12 inch woofer
The famous golden Eden tweeter
side ported, not unlike the D210XLT on it's side. But one side is ported, not both.
38 lbs.

Sound Quality : 8
I agree with a previous review, the famous eden sound is definitely there. Must be the tweeter. It definitely does not have the bass response of a 112XLT so I wouldn't use it for a gig by itself. But for recording or rehearsals, this baby will make you smile. I played an outdoor gig where I had the 112 stacked on top of my CX210 and the sound guy was about to mic the CX. I waved him off and told him "No, mic this one!" referring to the D112XLT. Loads of character, but needs something with bottom underneath it for those big gigs. If I were rating my speaker combo (D112XLT and CX210) together, I'd rate it a 10, but on it's own, I'll give the 112 an 8 for not having as much bass response as I'd like.

Reliability : 10
Eden has always been great.

Parts are easy to order. Cust support is hit or miss. Mostly hit.

Overall Rating : 9
Adapted from my CX210 review...
My recommendation is that you should only buy this cabinet if you would like to have a really portable rig for rehearsals and recordings and small gigs. Then you can add a more bottomy cabinet underneath for those larger gigs. I think that the CX210 and D112XLT are a perfect match for each other. The 112XLT provides the character and the CX provides the foundation.

Portable cabinet with 12" and tweeter. They now come with two little plastic plug ports to answer the problem mentioned in the previous review.

Sound Quality : 9
Very good sound for a portable speaker. I purchased two of these to have a more portable setup than my Eden 410XLT. Soundwise, these have a higher voiced midrange and less low end punch than the 410XLT. The higher midrange voicing translates into more bite and snarl - very in your face tone with a passive jazz bass with the neck pickup rolled down a little. Cuts through on stage a little better than the 410XLT but just does not shake your ass in the same way. These absolutely blow away the Aguilara GS-112 (owned for two months and replaced with the D-112XLT). I would not replace my 410XLT with these (I give the 410XLT a 10), but they are great for small performances and cannot be beat for sound versus portability.

Reliability : 10
Eden stuff has been very reliable for me (I own two D-112XLT's, a D-410XLT, and a WT-400) and I have never had any problems at all (no bulb replacements, etc).

Customer Support : 7
Never had to deal with them for warranty issues. That said, I have had poor luck with trying to buy stuff from their online store (would be nice if they updated it more than once a year).

Overall Rating : 10
Fantastic speaker for someone looking for a very portable setup. Definitely keeps the Eden sound - very punchy sound with a midrange bite that cuts through on stage. They are not in the same sound league as the D-410XLT - but to me nothing is (I have owned SWR, Aguilar, Fender, GK, Carvin, Mesa Boogie, Peavey). Overall, the best 12" bass speaker on the market.

300 WATT SINGLE 12 CABINET WITH TWEETER AND XLT EXTENDED BASS PORT. 8 OHM CABINET WITH 2 1/4 INCH JACKS, SPEAKON JACK AND TWEETER LEVEL CONTROL. SINGLE SPRING LOADED HANDLE, HEAVY CARPET COVERING AND STACKABLE PLASTIC COVERS.

Sound Quality : 8
A LITTLE MORE MIDRANGE THAN MY D210XLT. SEEMS TO HANDLE THE LOW B FROM MY ALEMBIC WELL. VERY VERSATILE SOUND AND BEST FULL RANGE SPEAKER FOR ITS SIZE. CAN HANDLE ENOUGH POWER AND PUTS OUT ENOUGH VOLUME TO HANDLE A SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZED VENUE. PAIRED UP WITH MY WT-550 HEAD IT MAKES FOR ONE COMPACT POWERHOUSE OF A SYSTEM. FINALLY I CAN GET FROM THE CAR TO THE GIG IN ONE TRIP. SO IMPRESSED WITH ITS TRANSPORTABILITY AND SOUND THAT I WILL PROBABLY START USING THIS CABINET WHERE I WOULD HAVE USED ONE OF MY TWO D210 XLT CABS. ONLY COMPLAINT IS A WHISTLE OR FLUTTER NOISE COMING FROM THE OPEN 1/4 INCH JACKS. THIS WAS EASILY CURED WITH A COUPLE OF 'DUMMY' PLUGS BUT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. FOR THIS REASON ALONE I GIVE IT AN 8.

Reliability : 10
SO FAR SO GOOD BUT I HAVEN'T HAD IT THAT LONG. SEEMS SOLIDLY BUILT AND CAN TAKE SOME ABUSE. IF IT IS ANYTHING LIKE THE OTHER EDEN CABS I HAVE OWNED IT SHOULD BE A TANK.

Customer Support : 1
SEEMS THAT THIS IS WHERE EDEN IS FAILING RIGHT NOW. CALLED THEM ABOUT THE NOISE FROM THE SPEAKER JACKS. THEY INSISTED THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CROSSOVER DESPITE MY DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM. WOULDN'T EVEN LISTEN TO OR CONSIDER MY THOUGHTS ON THE TOPIC. THEY OFFERED NO HELP AND TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE DEALER I GOT IT FROM FOR REPLACEMENT. FORTUNATELY I PURCHASED IT FROM BASS CENTRAL AND WHEN I CONTACTED THEM THEY GAVE ME SOME GOOD ADVICE ON HOW TO CURE IT. THEY SAID IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS PLUG UP THE SPEAKER JACKS. THIS IS FINE BUT SHOULDN'T EDEN BE WORKING ON A FIX FOR THIS SO IT DOESN'T HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. EDEN SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT AT LEAST THEIR DEALERS ARE WILLING TO HELP OUT THEIR CUSTOMERS EVEN IF THEY AREN'T. HOPE THEY GET IT TOGETHER SOON.

Overall Rating : 9
i HAVE BEEN USING EDEN CABS FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS NOW AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THEM. I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS CAB AND A WT-550 TO ADD TO MY ARSENAL. I AM GLAD THEIR GEAR IS SO RELIABLE SINCE I WOULDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM ON ANY SORT OF REPAIR OR WARRANTY ISSUE.
