With six KT88 power tubes it's rated at 320 watts rms. Purchased new, I believe it's a 2008 model as Eden has discontinued the E300T, done some cosmetic changes and now calls it the WBT300T. Same amp internally though. Very basis tone shaping features, gain/volume, bass, mid and treble knobs with active, overdrive and mid-shift switches on the front side. Send/return, tuner out, balanced out, footswitch input, single neutrik-dual 1/4 inch speaker inputs, 4/8 ohm selector switch and power tube bias adjustment section are the features on the back of the amp. As far as features go this amp has everything needed to sound great. Think about Ampeg and Marshall all-tube bass amps. They don't have alot of bells and whistles either but sound superb. However this amp's sound falls far short. Please read on.

Used with several different quality bass guitars and speaker cabinet configurations I was unable to achieve any sound out of this amplifier that came remotely close to what anyone would expect a powerful all-tube bass amp to sound like. If you like thin, flat midrange then you might like this amp. Rated down to 20Hz and using the right speaker cab you would think this amp would be able to produce some really thick and creamy bottom end. I found it impossible. I tried Ampeg 810E, SVT 215 and Eden D410XLT cabinets and they all sounded terrible. I pulled every tube, tested them, replaced and then re-biased the power tubes to no avail. I even called Eden to see what the heck I was doing wrong and they had no clear answer for me. I got the feeling from the tech I had on the phone that this was not the first call that Eden had received about the E300T sounding this way. Now as far as this amp being rated at 320 watts rms, it should crank some serious volume. Well the Eden E300T drops the ball in this department as well. I tested the head side by side on each speaker cabinet with a early 70's Ampeg V4-B which we all know is rated at 100 all-tube watts. The V4-B out performed the E300T in volume and killed it tonally on each cab tested. Unless I received the one bad apple in the bunch I don't know what else to say. This amp just plain sounds bad.

I've owed several other pieces of Eden equipment, WT series heads and cabs, and have always had good luck with them. Of course they were USA models. With the E300T being made in Asia I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Again, customer support has generally been good from Eden. I just don't think there is any way Eden is going to be able to help you with this amplifier.

I've been playing bass for over 40 years now. Being the typical bass player I'm always looking for the perfect sound and have bought and sold more gear than I care to remember. My Eden 300T lasted about two weeks before I found it a new home. It's too bad as I had high hopes for it. I hope that this is not a overall trend for the Eden company as the E300T is a true clunker.

300 Watt all tube head. Purchased in 2008. I bought this 40 lbs head to replace my heavy Ampeg SVT CL. All detailed features are listed in Eden's website. The 4&8 ohm switch is really a great feature for choice of cabs. My amp also carries effect loops, which is a not shown from their website picture. Foot switch works very well for mute and overdrive boost.

Powerful and solid sound. The tone is indeed different from World series head, but has more bottom with warm. I paired this cab with two 8 ohms Ampeg SVT HE cabs. This setup already makes me loud enough for mid size gig. Mid control is very sensitive and useful for the tone shaping. The reason I deduct some points based on the following reasons,

1. The post DI out is way too noisy. This drive my sound man crazy. It force me to give up using its DI. Hope Eden can improve their DI design.

2. An little hiss always coming out of this amp can be noticed. Although this can be ignored on stage with huge volume, it is still very annoyed in a quite environment. However, the fan is super quite compared to the huge fan noise from Ampeg SVT CL.

Overall, the sound quality is still great.

This is the part I always give Eden the best credit. I have been gig with this amp for many times. Most my gig were outdoors and my E300T never failed, no matter how bad, cold or moisture the weather was. Pretty amazing. I know this amp was made in China, but who cares. Maybe they found the right Chinese manufacturers. Great reliability, period.

Great service, although you might not need them since Eden amp is very solid. I emailed Eden many times and they always replied me right away to solve my problem.

Overall Rating : 9
This amp has great features and solid warm sound. I think I made the right investment this time. I had several Eden amps before (WT300, WT 405, WT550...), and none of them disappointed me. The lighter weight and portability is the main reason I choose E300T over Ampeg SVT CL.
For people with tight budget but think of getting a good quality all tube bass head, Eden E300T is the way to go.
