It has so many features, I almost knocked off a point. Most musicians I know want simplicity rather than so much tailoring. BUT you do not have to use the features. Just leave them off and they will not affect the sound. Very very versatile.

Sound Quality : 10
Beautiful. I have heard bass preamps as good, but none better.

Reliability : 10
So far, no problems after several years of ownership.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing and buying too much gear for about 15 years. For simplicity when playing live, I like the Ampeg VB100 100-watt head, but for recording, I love the Eden. If I were a rack-oriented person, this would travel in the top of my rack.

www.eden-electronics.com will give you all the info. This pre has it all, the EQ is sooo powerful!! You just need to move it a little bit here and there to get the perfect sound. The tube is very nice, and the enchance feature is also solid.

Sound Quality : 10
This thing sounds brilliant. I am powering it with an Eden WT1000 power amp. I couldn't be happier with the sound. Like I mentioned above, the EQ is extremely powerful. This pre has many powerful features, but you can use it however you want.

Reliability : 10
As solid as they come, Eden is known for great manufacturing.

Customer Support : 10
Eden's forums on their website are a great resource for any questions. They bend over backwards to help customers...even those who don't have a warranty. Great company

Overall Rating : 10
This is it for me. I couldn't be happier.

Made in 2003. Many different tone controls and is versatile. Effects loop balanced line out, etc. etc. etc. you name it it has it, too much really. This is a stereo pre-amp that I use with the Eden WT1ooo amp. The gain know brand new right out of the bax sounds like it has dust from 100 years ago. The manufacturer told me to just work it back and fourth enough and the scratchy pot noise would stop. Six months later and it's still scratchy. The WP100 preamp features a tube input stage, dbx type compression with variable threshold and rate controls, tube character control, enhance control, the famous Eden semiparametric eq, front panel D.I. output control, mono pre-eq loop, stereo post-eq loop, side-chain loop with front panel blend pot, variable crossover, stereo led output meters, tuner out, stereo and mono XLR outputs, and a defeatable limiter. The front panel switches that defeat the compressor, enhance, mute, and turbo boost are duplicated on a lighted footswitch that connects via a standard, easily replaceable midi cable and enough lights to take care of Christmas decorating.

I play Hard melodic rock. I use Roscoe, Ken Smith, and Spector basses, top of the line with no expense spared. I don't know how good it is because the Eden WT 1000 amp (see my review) is so bad. At low volumes it sounds good. It is noisy, real noisy but not as bad as the Eden amp I just mentioned. The clean channel is clean.

Reliability : 7
So far it is OK except for the scratchy gain pot.

Customer Support : 5
2 year warranty. Manufacturer was in a hurry to just get me off of the phone. My dealer (Bass Central in Florida) is great. They give me accurate information and always have patience.

Overall Rating : 6
30 years playing the bass. I would search for something less complicated if I lost this pre-amp. I hate the noises this thing makes. I love the weight (12 lbs.) and it is attractive.
