Well, that is what it is ina nutshell, a small description found online. I picked up 4 of these speakers to put into an old SWR Goliath II 4x10 cabinet that had it's original PAS 10's blown up...all 4 of them.

I chose these BP102's over the standard Delta 10's because of the very low resonant frequency and usable frequency range (40Hz compared to 66Hz of the Delta 10!!!). I play 5 strings, and I need big bottom from a cabinet. I've had 4x10 cabinets with Delta 10's in them, some of the notes on the Low B kind of fall off the end there. Also wanted to make this cabinet 4 ohms to suit my Ampeg SVT 2 Pro. The Goliath II was originally 8 ohms.
200 watts per speaker would make this an 800 watt cabinet.

MASSIVE low end out of these speakers. Just massive. I think it has more low end than my Carvin RL115 cabinet. And when the speakers reproduce sound, the cones barely move. These speakers will handle anything you throw at them, very meaty and definately NOT lightweights. The speakers have a very warm and vintage sound to them. not trebly or "honky" at all. They do have a pretty good range to them, using them in a cabinet with an adjustable horn or tweeter will help and not be an issue if you want high end. If you turn the horn off, they just scream with thunder.
The only complaint I have is the relatively low sensitivity rating of the speakers. At 90.5dB, that's kind of low compared to the Delta 10's 99dB rating. That means that to equal the same volume, you'd have to put more power into the BP 102 than the Delta 10.
I also have a 2x10 cabinet loaded with the 1st generation Eminence Deltalite 2510. I'm guessing that speaker's dB rating is arounf 98dB, similar to the Deltalite II. Powering these 2 cabinets with one amp, that difference in dB rating is noticable. In order to make the cabinets blend together, I needed to to reduce my treble output by a few points. The 2x10 was sort of overpoweing the 4x10 in the upper mids. That being said, the 4xqo may sound better on top of a 1x15 rather than under a 2x10...but to be sure I'll have to try that and see what happens.

Overall, I say they are a fantastic BASS speaker. Not a mid-range PA speaker than "can be used for bass"...They kill and emit fantastic low end. You sphincter will fail soon!
