Epifani PS 600

Less than a year old

I have had two PS 600 , The first didnt work, the second I've had about 8 months. And then it went out.

I sent this amp in for a non-working mute button. It had been a month and a half and I kept getting stories from them as to when I will get it back. I kept getting told from Epifani, "We are shipping it out." I had called back everyday for 2 weeks to get information regarding the status, and it was always a different problem; how did you ship it to us?, our elevator is broken, we will ship it tomorrow, it has already been shipped when in fact, it hadn't yet been repaired or looked at. Three people had all different stories, yet not one was correct or matched. I WILL NOT buy from Epifani again nor would I recommend them. Just hope that your amp doesn't have any problems after you purchase one.

I have been playing for 15 years and have never had this problem. It isn't the problem of the amp itself, but the customer service as to why I wouldn't buy from them again. I also owned a small business, and if I ran my business this way, I would have been out of work. The amp has a great sound but having to deal with the headache of the company would deviate me from purchasing from them again.

This amp has all of the features a pro bass player would want -- mute, treble contour switch, mid-cut with adjustment, treble, bass, mid, preamp gain and master volume. Adjustment for actice or std picups. The controls are all VERY useful in their full range -- not like some amps where going from 4-6 on the treble completely changes that entire sounds. Wonderful warm yet very precise and accurate tone. I think it is a 10, but for those that want hundreds of dials you might rate it an 8.

Best sounding bass amp I've ever had. I'm a pro with about 30 years experience on studio and stage. This is a very versatile amp -- capable of many different tones, from slap to motown funk. Seems like everything sounds good through this amp. Outstanding. I sold my 69 SVT after using this for a month!

Not an issue in 10 months of constand (4-6 gigs/month) use. Nice light weight so you won't slam it around. Seems very well made. Uses speakeron connections only.

Haven't needed anyone the head. I did email Epifani on a cabinet and impedance issue and they were very helpful and accurate.

Best bass amp I've every used and I've used almost everything over the years -- Sunn, Ampeg, you name it. Has very warm tube-like tone but very clear, very fast response, and goes high to low with ease. Great amp. Go class D.

brand new. versatile enough and perfect for me. not cluttered up with a whole bunch of knobs, slides, etc. easy to use and to dial in tone.

I talked a real cool dude at Epifani. man, I wish I could remember his name... Shawn maybe? Sorry. but, he helped me choose the right amp for my needs. this cat didn't talk AT me or down to me... he ASKED ME questions and the RIGHT questions!! he didn't try to get me to buy anything more than what I needed...
I liked the attitude so much that I bought a UL-310 cabinet along with this head.

I've been around a while. Like I said it is simple to use. Great tone. plenty loud for my needs. very LIGHT in weight!!!!!!!!!!! That is a HUGE PLUS! and it is pur-dee to look at.
