Excellent features in a very small package. Two channel bass amp with intelligent inputs. Specs say 550W into 4 ohms. Independent tone controls for both channels with an effects loop, and a 1/4" jack for DI output (adapter needed to connect an XLR cable).

Sound Quality : 2
Being a loyal EA user for the last 11 years I must say that I was extremely disappointed with the output power wise and tone wise from this amp. I originally bought this to power their ultra-light Wizzy 10 speaker for a light and small rig for those gigs that were difficult load-ins and the ones that didn't need the power of my EA iAmp 400 combo (my main amp). When I first used the amp, I thought it's lack of lows and power were due to the fact that it was connected to a single 10" cabinet (their Wizzy 10). After a mere handful of gigs with this amp, the speaker was damaged and had to be sent in. I tried to play a gig with this amp connected to one of EA's older two-10" cabs, and the lows were still very disappointing. The sound should've been amazing, but was very tame instead. My ears definitely know that this amp is not outputting 550W into 4 ohms, or 300W into 8 ohms. I've purchased a Carvin BX500 head, and the sound difference between it and the iAmp Micro through the same cabinet using the same cables was night-and-day! The Carvin BX500 absolutely blew the iAmp Micro out of the "water" as far as making that cabinet sound good! (And this was with the Carvin set on "3" on for the output, and the Micro was up about half way on the Main)

Reliability : 8
So far it has worked, but it has not worked as expected.

This was purchased through Bob Gollihur at Gollihur Music, and he was basically of no help. Basically he told me it was "too long" from the date of purchase, even though I only have used the amp very few times since its purchase.

Overall Rating : 2
If you're looking for a small lightweight amp thats powerful and outputs a lot of lows as well, then this isn't the amp for you. The Carvin BX500 definitely outperforms EA's new iAmp Micro.
