Unlike most bass cabinets, the EA cabs are designed more like HiFi speakers than instrument cabinets- albeit very efficient and high power handling HiFi speakers. They're compact, rugged, efficent and not cheap. The CXL-100 is about as small as you can make a 10" cabinet, yet handles 350 watts. It's equipped with both 1/4" and Speakon jacks and a tweeter level control. What makes it versitile is that it doesn't lend much coloration to the sound fed in. You can use it for bass, keyboards, or any aocustic instrument.

As for sound- what you get out is exactly what you put in.

Repoirts say that this is a very reliable speaker. As I generally feed no more than 100 watts to it, it should last me forever.

Customer Support : No Opinion

I've been playing for 30+ years. This is the finest, most accurate musical instrument cabinet I've ever used. Not cheap, but nothing really touches it for compact size and accuracy. I've been using it with an Acoustic Image Clarus, but I've also used it with my G-K 200MB. I use a second SWR cabinet when I need more volume, but I'd love to get a second CXL-110, and just might.

I've spent most of my playing career of 25 years looking for the ultimate small bass rig and I've finally found it!! I've done filled fairly large rooms with this cab without running through a PA. Every note was as clear and warm as you could ever want from any bass cab. I'm pushing it with a 450 watt Walter Woods which seems to be made for this cab. I previously owned the EA VL-110 that I was happy with because it sounded good as was portable, but I never thought anyone would ever come out with a cab that was PERFECT as far as portability and incredible tone like the CXL-110!!

Reliability : 10
No problems yet. I have heard stories of people pushing these too hard and blowing the speaker. Just use a little common sense and either realize there is a limit to a single 10" cab(although hearing this thing would make you think there is none) or add another cab for larger gigs.

I called EA several times with questions and always have been treated very well. A+

After my first gig with this cab I was hooked! This is the best bass cab small or large I have ever heard, and I've owned them all. I understand the EA CXL-112 blows the CXL-110 away, but it weighs 50 lbs, more weight than I want to deal with. I have bought a second CXL-110 for bigger gigs and bigger sound when I want it, but it hasn't been used very much yet. By the way, all the other musicians I've played with love this cab too, it makes the whole band sound better. Price may be a little steep compared to other cabs, but it's worth every penny.
