This is pretty much plug & play. I turn the HF attenuator as low as it will go. It is wonderful to carry. The bottom handle for tilt is a cool feature.

Sound Quality : 10
This cab sounds great for upright bass. It is power hungry. It will cause lower power amps to clip. I would say you should feed it at least 300+ watts. Be careful with EQ as this cab will do whatever you tell it to. I find myself running with little or no EQ.

Reliability : No Opinion
Don't know about long term reliability yet. It worked perfectly right out of the box.

I emailed the designer of the cabinet at 9:00pm on a Sunday night and had an answer in less than 1 hour. WOW! Every question I've had has been answered promptly and cheerfully. These guys really are on a mission.

Overall Rating : 10
I bought this cab from Bob Gollihur a little over a month ago.
So far I've been driving it with an SVT pre and QSC power. I think I could have a pre with just a volume knob and I'd be happy with the sound.
I had to think a long time before spending this much money on a 1x12 cabinet, but I'm glad I did. It's not as loud as my 4x10, but the sound is right on. I never needed the volume of the 410, but I do need big bottom. The CXL112L has the tone and if you need more volume, get 2. It's still lighter & easier to carry.

The sound pressure will hurt you at 130db. I just got rid of an Eden 410XLT & 115LXT stack (that was awesome) that was getting to heavy and big. Oh that right I'm getting old. This thing works great with my acoustic guitar, synth, mandolyn, bass, electric guitar when using a amp modeler (gt6, line6). Very big flat sound. My active long scale 5 string the B sings and stands out. I'm using an Eden WT800 or a mosvalve.

Reliability : 10
EA's equipment has always been top notch. Haven't had it long enough to know. But friends have told me there great.

Good so far. I've talked to the owner and designer several times now. And there very people friendly.

I play a wide selection of music and many instruments. I've been playing for over 30 years. Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Clasical Guitar, Electic Guitar, Guitar Synth, Banjo, Mandolin, Keys, I needed a cab that would handle all of this so I didn't need 2 to 3 amps per gig. This cab does it all. Bass has allways been a trouble spot and if the bass cab was a good bass cab, it only was good for bass. You get all now from one cab. I am using two of them and shocked at how good they sound. One note I do use guitar amp modeling and you need a full range cab to get the most from these units. The size is small, light, and ballenced. I guess Big doesn't spell BAD anymore.
