This cabinet is the most current version of the 210 configuration offered by Euphonic Audio. It replaces the VL series cabinets of a few years ago. The cabinet is small, AMAZINGLY SMALL and light too, it uses transmission line technology to help it produce big bass in a small package. As far as I know EA is the only company that's using this technique. I've read about it and from what I can tell it's VERY difficult to do correctly, it takes lots of engineering, prototyping and trial and error to get a design that performs as intended. John Dong at EA has got it figured out. It's covered with a spray on bed liner like material that looks really great and apears to be very durable, it's got a nice strong steel speaker grill too. This model has two neodynium magnet 10 inch woofers and a phenolic compression driver for the high end, it's got an adjustable crossover so that you can adjust the high frequency content to your liking. It's rated at 500watts but I was told that I would be fine running it with my amp (Crown Macro Tech 1200) bridged and that's about 1000watts into this 8 ohm load. It's got two speakon connectors and there is a handle on the bottom that's used as a tilt leg, a very handy feature. The actual handles are cut into the sides of the cabinet, just like Ampeg PR cabinets.

Sound Quality : 10
This cabinet sounds fantastic, no matter what style of music you are playing it'll be able to reproduce it, no problem with little to no coloration. Depending on your setup this may or may not be a good thing, but for me it's perfect. Most of the time from what I've seen, it seems like the EA users are "superchops" type players, into jazz or solo type work. I'm not doing that sort of thing at all, I play in a classic rock style setting doing covers and originals in a 4 piece band. My rig consists of a 1988 Carvin LB-90 4 string passive bass, SansAmp RBI preamp, a Crown MacroTech 1200 amp, and this cabinet, that's it. I went through many different configurations before coming up with this rig. In my opinion no matter what style of playing the secret to having a bass tone that's consistently good in many rooms and at various volume levels is to have a preamp and bass combination that gets your tone This could be nearly anything again depending on your style, active or passive electronics tube or solid state preamp etc. Then you simply amplify that tone with a very large clean amp and a cabinet that can produce that sound with as little coloration as possible, this rig does just that, the cabinet and power amp are very clean and they contribute nothing else to the tone. I found after switching to this cabinet that now I was somewhat over EQ'ed. I had to pull out lows and increase mids with this cab much to my suprise. I was coming from an Ampeg PR-410 "batmobile" cab. The difference in clarity is astounding, the low end is just so clear, clean and sweet you will not believe it, these cabinets are something entirely different than your typical tuned ported enclosure. I'm playing finger style with the SansAmp RBI set up to give it a bit of growl much like an old Ampeg SVT turned up enough so that it sounds like an amp and you can really hear my tone and what I'm playing, there is no mud in the cabinet. If you were a funk or jazz player you would recieve similar results in that your tone would come through. If you try one of these cabinets be sure to try it with your band to see how it cuts through a mix and be sure to experiment with your EQ a bit if you've been using a more conventional cabinet. The tweeter and the crossover on this cabinet are also excellent it's got a nice smooth blended high end that's part of the sound of the speaker and not just squawking away on top. 2 10 inch speakers give less interference between one another when producing sound than 4 10's so that's one of the reasons for only having two speakers, it gives a clarity in the lower and mid registers that just blows me away.

Reliability : 9
I'm running the cabinet with an amp that produces about 1000 watts into an 8 ohm load. I was told this is just fine as long as it's not making the speakers distort, it's not, it sounds solid as a rock. As nicely built as this cabinet is, I don't see any reliability issues in the future. The corners are not protected and that might be a minus but the cabinet is so light I don't think it'll be able to damage itself on the way in and out of a gig. I also bought the rather expensive slip cover for the cabinet. If you get one of these get the cover, it's great, it's padded and lined with red vulour, it's worth the money.

I'm not worried about hurting this cabinet on the job, it's got a 3 year warranty too.

Customer Support : 9
I ordered my cabinet through a dealer and it drop shipped from Euphonic Audio. I recieved the cabinet in about 3 days so their shipping was fast and it was nicely packaged too arriving without any damage. I've e-mailed them with a few questions before buying and they answered me quickly and in a friendly mannar. Again, there is a 3 year warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for almost 20 years. I've had many different combinations of amps and cabinets and this is by far the best sounding and most portable rig I've had yet. I've gone from a cabinet that weighs 130lbs to one that weighs 50lbs. 4 10's to 2 10's If I've given up anything volume wise I've made up for it with clarity of sound on stage so that's a great trade off. You will be amazed when you open the package and see how small this cabinet really is! You'll be more amazed at the revealing sound quality, if your tone is good now you'll really hear it with this cab. These cabinets are NOT CHEAP to buy but they are worth the cost. It's beautifully designed and constructed from very high quality materials by smart folks who know their stuff. If it were lost or stolen I would buy another one, no doubt about it. I sold off several cabinets to buy this one little box from EA and it's been a great investment. Highly recommended.
