Bassic features include three band EQ with sweepable mids, deep and bright switches and switchable limiter. Solid state design, plenty of power 300W@4ohms. Could use a direct out jack.

This is a bassic meat and potatoes no frills simple to use everday kind of gigging amp. Good for rock, pop, blues, etc...Not for distorted metal or super modern tones but gets a pretty good slap tone with the deep and bright switches engaged. Great limiter! This amp will not distort with limiter engaged and just might save your speakers if you do something stupid.

Super reliable, I always use it without backup. No tubes to change.

I've been playing for over 20yrs and although I can think of other amps that might have better tone or more bells and whistles, there isn't a better value in a gigging, rehersal, no hassle bass head. A DI would be nice but most venues provide one for you anyway.

From the Face design, I think my amp it's made in the late '90s. I play Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. It's a strait am with enough pressure.
It got one channel with treble, mid frequence, mid level, bass and a volume poti. Also there is a crispy bright switch and very deep going deep switch, the bright hi are very hi and I never use them. There is an effect loop on the front side, unfortunately, it better should be on the back side. Also unfortunately there is no Mastervolume (see sounds). And last but not least, the amp got 300 watts and a very usefull switchable limiter.

I play a Precison and a large (200 liter!) 2*12" Box, a very good and rocking kombination. The amp got enough Power, I usual not turn over 5 at the Volume. The limiter unfortunately take some dynamic and if I turn it off, the amp begin with a not very nice distotion, so I miss a Mastervolume (I want to make an upgrade, but Fender need very long for sending the shematics...). But expect for this, it's a Very nice sounding Amp.

I play since 1995, use a few Pricison Basses and a 2*12 Box and sometimes some effects (Distortion, Delay, Flanger, Wah, EQ). It was a good buy and I ever try it again. It's a very useful Amp (but not a Tubeamp ;-)). I compare it with an old Warwick and a Trace, also both with only one channle. The Trace is more flexible (the Grafic EQ) but the Fender sounds better!

made in approx 1997
all the same stuff of the other bxr300 but is a separate unit(no speaker), Would like d.i. for the p.a. but mikes ok
I have only used this amp for a few gigs and it coped, but it seemed to change its volume/output in some jams (cant explain ?)I run it through a boss chorus pedal on occassion,, sounds pretty mellow (in a nice way)I run it through a 4 x 10 hartke box, good slap sound, loud enough to piss off mr rythme guitar.

Ive got a couple of basses that feed this, the best to my mind is called a westone thunder, again this is basic but together their almost unbreakable and the sound is fat enough to tuck into your best y fronts.

it actually made a larger imprint on the dash of my 4x4 than the dash made on it, during an emergency wildlife stop.

I live in a town with about 900 people of which ,in my street we have 5 full on bass players(dont get sick at a gig), all of which would be happy to give me my money back, in return they would take it aff my hands and tell me how stupid i was. So it might just stay with me until the P.A blows up
