Had this damned "Boat anchor" since 1995 .......I play haaaaard bad *** rock in a band in the "Kiwi" Club scene.....To be honest it's a "Plain Jane" Bass amp, with the one effects loop and preamp out.As well as High and low inputs........Along with 5 knobs volume, high, mid, midsweepable, bass. It also has the comp button which is wonderfull, not to mention the high/low boost button! And I certainly always use all of the functions depending on the size and the acousticks of the room.

My main Bass guitar is a 'Charvel" B4. 4 string with active Jackson pickups x 3. My band members have dubbed this amp "thunder" :) I play hard rock and the combination of the Charvel and the BXR300c and my Line6 basspod floor pedal...........it's more like Armageddon about to be unleashed!! Absolutely superior combination! Flawless!!

I have personally dropped this amp of the back off a car trailer while travelling. But because of it's incredible structure,i still played that night at the club only minus 2 knobs............Which have proved to be easily obtained.
I have owned this amp from new now, which i purchased in the mid nineties.........For about $900 US.It has been the talk of the scene by other muso's being amazed by the reliability.......Ok it's been on the go jamming hard out for nearly 15 years now...........and iv'e replaced knobs and all of the input sockets.............But that's it!! Not bad eh? Just plain and simpel an excellent piece of equipment! Thanx Fender :)

Been playing for 20 years...........Loads of other gear, but not worth mentioning.
If stolen I would most certainly stick with Fender, perhaps try something new.....But I know what I want! I love the simpel setup on this amp,I mean you can add the bells and whistless with a nice Bass and some effects unit......... The only thing I dont like about it, is like I said tha damned weight of it........However this is the reason why this thing is so reliable. And DONT even think about cutting it down ,and perhaps replace the timber with thinner plywood or something dumb like that.........Because that raw power in that amp will most certainly rattle the hell out of a thinner cabinet, resulting in a lot of buzzing noises and distorted sounds. I honestly chose this amp for it's rawness and unforgiving power, and it's durability.......I think that the wheels could have been a little bigger and made of a harder rubber compound.
