This NOS is about 10 years old and has been sitting gathering dust for the last 5 years. It was filthy - thick dust over the whole of the base of the amp - but had clearly only been used for demos.
Bought with a 410 Bassman bin.
One of the 410 speakers had had it's cone damaged.
Love the compression although I don't think I'd use it apart from in a recording situation.
Tend to use a the effects set pretty flat - I just like the natural sound!

Use it with the new 2008 P bass (Am std).
Love the smooth deep reggae/blues sound but this set up can pop and slap for funk!

Makes the odd crackle until it is fully warmed up!
Not sure how long the 6 power valves will last before they need replacing?

The damaged 410 speaker was reconed although I had to removed it for them - aparently they used Fender cone (certainly looks like it) and it now sounds perfect!
Still no confirmation on valve supply in Indonesia but may to rely on Tube Depot or another supplier via internet.

Been playing 35 years on and off but mainly relied on GK amps in the past - there is no comparison! You need to go with the valves (or at least have both).
As another reviewer said yes this amp is like a baby hippo but get another amp (GK1000RB) for lugging around if you have a weak back like me - life's is too short not to use a valve set up!
