I'll just rattle off everything that's on the front of the bass:
Single, mono input. Mono input for two speakers. You're not getting two amps in one here, just two speakers in one combo cab. There is a toggle switch to drop something like 15db off if you play an active bass. Nice touch.

Volume, and just a volume knob. No distinction between gain and Master.

Four-band EQ. If I remember correctly, each band will give or take 18 db, which is certainly enough to color your sound. I guess it would be nice to have a ten-band graphical EQ, but this is an economy combo. What do you expect? Also, this is a good spot to talk about the "Mid Scoop" feature. Basically, the little toggle button immediately left of your volume button is an easy-mode EQ adjuster that really makes your bass and treble pop while letting some of your mids disappear. Really beefs up a "slap" sound.

CD in. When I was first picking out an amp to buy, this was the last thing on my mind, and now I'm so glad I have it. I got a 1/8th mini-to-RCA connector and now I can play along with my iPod, but you could plug in your CD or even LP player just from the stuff I'm sure you have lying around in your stereo system. This feature was a pleasant surprise and I'm so glad I have it.

Effects loop. Please, for the love of god, if you use effects, run them through here. It cuts down on noise so much. When you see people moan about their noisy effects pedals, it's because they're not using the effects loop. Also, run your signal through a pre-amp with some tubes in it, and I'm sure this low-end combo would sing like a bassman.

Headphone jack. 1/4" out. Nothing more to say.

Line out. I've not used it (I haven't had a reason to). It's nice to have the XLR output available, and the line out has its own volume control, which is a nice touch.

One feature that's easy to overlook is the included casters. It's a nice touch; nobody wants to carry a 75-pound amp everywhere. It's nice to be able to cart it about.

Oh, and one more thing. Right below the speaker cab, there are a few red LEDs that glow and pulse along with your playing. You can turn these off (thank god). They look pretty ridiculous.

Overall, this amp has everything you would expect a low-end combo to have. The feature set won't blow you away, but they're more than adequate, and you'll find yourself using almost everything on it.

I play four-strings exclusively, so I can't judge what the low-B sounds like. My main home practice bass is a Fender Squier P.O.S. P-bass, but I've played it with a legit Fender Mexican P-bass. The sound is so pure and clean, it's unbelievable. It is a solid-state, but honestly, you don't buy this bass for the warm, tube sound. This amp is best described as a blank slate. You can add in any effects you want, and they'll sound exactly as intended. I'm sure that any bass you play through it will sound exactly like the manufacturer wanted it to.

Unfortunately, as it is such a clean sound, you're going to need to do most of your adjustment of tone yourself (and probably with external pedals). The tonal variety does not come from the amp. It's going to need to come from your play and your pedal board.

The amp isn't even close to noisy, any where from Volume 1-10. The only time I felt a bit of noise off this combo was toward the bottom end of the volume knob, but I was able to kill the little bit produced by turning up my bass and turning down the amp. I'm willing to bet this was due to my P.O.S. squier, though. The Mexican P I played through it didn't have that problem.

This amp gets loud enough to piss off the neighbors, that's for sure. You might feel the sound get a bit "thumpy" toward the top of the volume knob, but nothing that I couldn't fix in fifteen seconds on the built-in EQ.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've only had it for two weeks, so I won't give a score here. However, the construction feels solid and it's got a metal grate to protect your speakers. I'm willing to bet this thing would live through a lot.

Not dealt with Fender's CS. I hope I never will.

The warranty is five years on everything but the cosmetics and the speakers (One year).

You need to realize: this isn't the best amp on the market. You could spend more money and get something with a little more tonal variety, or enough power to drive external cabinets (which, by the way, this thing will never be able to do at 100 watts -.-). You could ask for a compressor or a 10-band EQ, but let's be realistic. It's a 350 (American) dollar amp. It's not going to be the end-all-be-all of bass amplification, but I'm convinced that it's the best you'll do in the price bracket.

2006 model bought within 1 month
Good amp for top40/rock and oldies.
1 Channel, effects loop, DI out
I use this amp in clubs and GB
Plenty of power for me. The 100 watt rating at 8 ohms seem san understament at best.

I use an early Fender 5 string Jazz with EMG PU. This amp siuts my style well es.p when I got it up off the floor. I work min a band with a good sized PA and sound man so the amp is really for stage only. I found that the highs went right by my feet (unlike my Hartke 2.5 cab.), so I now lcae it on its side on an 8 space rack I use for monitors and it gets a 10 and the peizo raight about chest level. helps throw it across the stage better too.

Only have this amp a month or so but have used it for 4 gigs allready. I don't carry a spare so I'm really counting on it.

Playing 30+ years, back when you had to have an SVT and 2 cabinets to be heard above the Marshall stacks. If stolen I'd probably buy it again.

What I love the most is the way this amp handles my low B string. Wowza, feels Like I have a 15" speaker here, it really puts out the low end, much better than my Hartke 2.5 cabinet.

Hate, well I do wish it was strong enough to allow a second cabinet to be plugged in.
