Amp bought in 05. Very compact and at 65lbs a joy to move around compared to the SVT and 8-10 I have been lugging around. Lots of dials as is the case with most things solid state although I find them usable. The mute button is a nice touch and the 4/5 string setting adds nice depth to the tone. G-K has a reputation for being loud and this combo is no exception. I have never been much of a combo fan but this little powerhouse cuts through just fine. You can line out an extention cab, such as a 15', which comes in handy.

Not a tube mud slinger but a clean, straight tone. I wanted a solid state sound for fusion and smooth jazz settings and this deilivers the goods. I have ran it with a 15' G-K SBX cab and love the results.
280 watts is not alot of headroom but for me it gets the job done.
The fan is very quiet and so far no hiss.

To new to tell. I have heard good and bad as with any amp so time will tell. I am easy on my gear to lets hope for the best.

What I like about G-K is you can call and talk to a real person. If they are busy leave a voicemail and they will call you back. They answered all my bone-headed questions and seemed concerned that I got the correct product to suit my style and needs.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I have been playing for 14 years and have normally played tube stacks but this little combo is getting alot of use. I like the focus of the tone how the G-K "growl" is there is you need it. If it were stolen I would buy it again. For the price I think it was a killer deal. I looked at EA, Mesa, Eden, and SWR. For the money put out the tone is great.
