This is a 2005 model, bought it new for 1100 CDN. Best 1100 bucks ive ever spent, i mean quality, tone, features, it got it all, AND it looks good too. I play rock and blues, so i need to lead the group in the blues break aways, this amp does half the work. One channel is enough, but it could use a level control for the front panel D.O., and the only useless feature(for me) is the boost, i want it as clean as possible, thats why i bought a GK, but for you who want bone rattling drive can get it easily. I use this amp for jamming/rehersal, and live shows in small venues, i keep it rocked back 90 per cent of the time. I have never heard such warmth from a solid state.

I use a modern J style peavey with fender samariums, and a 72 p bass. Two completely different sounds, this amp has no problem TRUTHFULLY reproducing either, mind you i am yet to use active humbuckers through it. There is no noise, i can place the bass(volumes open) on the stand in front the rocked back map-at moderate to high volumes and you won't here a peep. U can make it sound how ever u want it to sound.

I had a problem right off the bat, sent it back, fixed....free of course. I'd never insult it by bringing a backup!

Ive had it 3 months, expect in 20 years when this one wears out to get the 700 model, lil more power and a seperate horn amp and level control. I'll stick with GK for good. Nothing in the lineup compared to it.

This amp was made in 2003. I play pop, blues, rock, jazz, the amp works well with all styles. The amp is 280W with 150W into the 2X10's. It has two tone shaping controls, contour (for notching), and presence, the contour control is sweet. It also has a DI and a tuning mute. I use the amp by itself for small/medium gigs, with DI into the front of house for bigger shows. The amp has plenty of punch and enough bottom and top, particularly with a compressor (Digitech Bass Squeeze.) I wish it had a second programable channel so I could switch between settings quickly. The amp is also pretty lightweight (28 kg) compared to others I looked at.

I use a Fender Precision Plus (P & J pickups.) The amp matches it well. I can vary the amp from straight through rock to a warm jazz, to a thick bottom end to a slap with a little fiddling.

I've been playing for twenty years, this is the best amp I've owned. If stolen I would replace it, I like it a lot and am learning more about it all the time.
