Not sure of the year, schematic was originally drawn in 97. Internall biamped, at a fixed crossover point; 130 watt amp drives the 2 10 inch woofers, another 45 watt amp drives the tweeter. Effects loop w/level control, active/passive inputs, XLR out switchable to DI or Preamp output. Basic 3 band EQ, volume, master, and horn amp volume. Wish it could power an external cab, but that's not too much of an issue. Cab is ported. Solid state.

No extraneous noise. I'll have to say the frequencies of the eq knobs aren't exactly where I'd want them if I was designing the amp, I' dlike the lows lower as well as the mids. However, even with all the EQ knobs set flat it sounds GREAT. It sounds HUGE, as big as some stacks I've encountered. Clean and Hi-fi sounding, really shows the slop in your playing, which is what you want in a practice amp, though it's loud enough for small gigs. DI out makes it a great recording amp.

Never encountered better service. I emailed the company just before Christmas requesting any info they had on this out of production amp, got a reply right away even in the busy season, with tons of info and schematics. I've dealt with manufacturers of much more costly equipment who were too good to talk to their customers, this is a refreshing change. It's great that they stand behind all their products, even the older ones. This attitude has gotten them one more long term customer, I'll be buying more Genz Benz gear in the future!
