Genz Benz 410 Cabinet

Tweeter with adjustable volume is kinda cool, but i'm not a big fan of tweeters myself.

I was using it with an Ampeg SVT3 pro head and an Ibanex Ergodyne 4-string bass and it sounded alright for the style I was playing then. I have since started playing a Warwick 5-string and noticed that the low-end you get out of this cabinet is very limited. Have since bought the real deal, the Ampeg 8x10, so that problem hace been solved forever. This is a good mid-high cabinet if you wanted to use it that way, the highs are clear and the mids are punchy enough, coupled with the 8x10 it's a great sounding rig.

No problems with it, can't really complain about the reliability.

It's a good 4x10 cabinet overall. you get what you pay for so in the end I can't say it wasn't worth what i bought it for. Definitely a great entry to mid-level playing experience cabinet.

1) This cab does not come with casters, nor does it has holes for them. I needed wheels, so I had to drill into the chassis. I doubt this will hurt the re-sale, but it kinda sucked doing all that work. It should come from the factory wheel ready.

2) The handles are the kind that is just an angeled hole in the side. They are not the retractable kind you find on an ampeg. Makes it a little bitchy to carry, especially up stairs.

I Play a fender P deluxe thru an eden WT-400. It sounds just fine. There is a horn volume knob on the back which is a little bitch goddess. I guess it's nice to have control over the horn volume, but once you set it the way you want, you have to re-set it everytime you get to a club because it invariably gets bumped around in the van.

Built ford tough, like a rock, daddy's oldsmobile, etc....

Once I sent an them email asking some technical question (perhaps related to my fundamental ignorance of Ohms Law). I had gotten a response later in the day by Jeffery Genzler, who I THINK is the Prez. of the company. I thought that was cool.

In the end, it sounds good, is well balanced. I like it. Imagine buying an ampeg, then reaching into your pocket and feeling you still have some money in there. It's kinda like that.

Although this thing is at 8ohms ( which is standard ) it's still sweet! It has a really cool tweeter in the center wich makes it look cool. It can also handle 500 watts!!

I can get a deep agressive, punchy sound. Or a sweet melodic sound from this thing. I use a Hartke 3500.( 350 watts with tube preamp )and a Fender J/P bass. It's sounds so crisp....I don't even need an active bass anymore.

It's a bit heavy, but built to last. I took this out gigging and had everyone jumping on it. It lasted through that and still is in perfect condition

I never had any trouble with this thing.

This is a great cab. wich is mad to last. It sounds good, can rumble the block and is great for the money
