I dont really know what other people are looking for in a bass cab, but this one had it all for me. I love the 6x10 configuration and always have. I like the SWR and Ampeg 6x10s as well. This cab is a little different though in that it has cavernous ports across the bottom to deliver ground shaking response. It works very well for me and my sound which is pretty aggressive slapping and low end grooving. It handles distortion very well, without getting too harsh. Ihave a huge sound that swallows the stage when I select my Solo effects loop. It can also be very tight and articulate in more percussive or backbeat playing. Very crisp and warm. Very Punchy and great air moving capability. Super cab Im sure for ll music!

Sound Quality is Excellent!!! I have had, and still do own many different bass cabinets. I like to use different cabs for different situations. I was using a 1x18 and 4x10 cab setup for large venues. That somehoe changed into two 4x10's and now on the big gigs I take the Genz-Benz 6x10. It sound better than all my other cab options and can crank as loud as I want it. I do still use a single 4x10 for certain situations, mainly because the 6x10 is HEAVY. I love the construction though and wouldnt have it any other way. From super high double ovtave up shifts to super low growling B's and the like. This cab outperforms any cab I have ever heard. Throw an all tube bass head on this thing and hang on to your rear end.

BUILT LIKE A TANK!!!!
I have replaced the built in tilt back casters once, but that is to be expected when dragging this beast around for a long time. I can typically load and set up this cab by myself, but I believe a smaller stature person would have quite a bit of trouble with it. It is extremely heavy rather bulky for an individual. I typically dont have to load it by myself, but in a three piece it definitely happens every now and then. I doubt if this cab will ever even come close to breaking down. It is built from 3/4" ply!!

If you are looking for a big rig and want something maybe a little different than the ole 8x10 CHECK OUT THIS CAB!! Iam convinced it sounds better and has more push than any 8x10 ive heard. It is not very much smaller though and that is also something to think about. It is without a doubt the right cab for me and I intend on getting another ASAP.

I beleieve that this cabinet would be versitle enough to handle any playing style and handle any Bass sound/low tuning...
I run it with a Genz Benz GBE750 & GBE 2x10 XB, but have confidence that it would still perform just as well with other stuff.

I have used it in extremes from empty factories (our beloved rehearsal space) to 3,000 + venues and it has recently been around the country.
I am very happy with it's overall durabillity and consistency.
I stongly doubt it will ever break down and use it without a backup with confidence.

I wanted to add the GBE 2x10 XB & emailed Genz Benz for advice. I was super excited to receive an email from Jeff Genzler himself, with all of the advice I needed plus a big thankyou for choosing his product. To me, that goes a long way - Ever spent $1,000's on something, contacted the company and been treated like having their stuff is them doing you a favour???

Been playing? I've heard and tried out a lot of other stuff.
I run a GBE750 Head, into the GB 6x10 XB and a GBE 2x10 XB. I've got a handful of different Basses.
If anything ever happened to my GBE 6x10 XB, I'd definately get another one.
Loves: Quality; Consistency; Versatillity; Power; Look (More ports than the Titanic!)
Hates: Having to move it by myself (54kgs)...
Genz Benz works best for me. If you're after profesisonal Bass stuff, Give Genz Benz a try.

I used to have an Ampeg BSE410 and classic15 paired with my Genz-Benz GBE-1200 Head -- WHAT A DIFFERENCE! ... now i'll start by saying i love my ampeg cabs --- but they dont touch the gb610 -- it doesnt clip, it doesnt hiss and it had SO MUCH headroom i can even begin to explain it -- clear lows, crisp mids and highs -- i play out of a USA 4 string Fender Active deluxe Precision Bass and it just simply rules!
