2004 model. Has 4 channel EQ, contour, gain, DI/DO, headphones, CD in, switch for passive or active, all that you would expect.
I use this amp fro practice as well as playing out. It has tons of power! 100 watts through 2 10 woofers and the horn tweeter is LOUD. Super clean sounding, doesn't distort at all. Effects pedals work nicely.
I love this thing.

Older passive Ibanez 4 string. Blues, rock, jazz and some garage/punk. Like I said, works for everything, sounds great. Sounds like my bass does. Maybe the only limiting factor here is that the amp itself makes no sound - all your effects are just that, outboard effects. This thing just sounds Big, Clean and warm. Doesn't really distort much at all. It is CLEAN sounding.
Reliability
:
No Opinion
Like others have said, G-B builds these things to last. It has broken down though - should point out that my amp spent a year at a "big dealer" as a floor model and could have suffered any number of indignities. Specifically, the power regulator insulator fried. No big deal, sometimes things like that happen. Other than that this amp is a WORHORSE.

When Icouldn't power up, Icalled G-B, spoke w/Amy and she had me pull the chasis out and send it to them. They turned it around in a couple of days and I was back in business. They were terrific and took great care of me, unlike some companies that leave you hanging forever. Warrantee is for 3 years, didn't contact any local svc centers, called them at HQ in Scottsdale. It was free and they covered my shipping, too.

Can't say enough positive things about this amp or Genz-Benz in general.
