This is the Genz Benz Neodymium 2x12 cab, with tweeter. It has top-lift handles, tilt-back wheels, and is pretty insanely light. The website says 62 pounds, but the actual weight is 59 pounds (typo on website confirmed with Roger Hart at Genz Benz). It's a 4 ohm cab. The speakers are vertically aligned, with ports running up both sides of the cab.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a wide range of styles and instruments, from upright duo and trio gigs to playing 6 string fretted and fretless electrics in a fusion trio. This thing sounds great with them all. I played, and loved, an Eden D212XLT cabinet before this. The Genz Benz cab is honestly richer and fuller than the Eden, to my ears at least, and has more pronounced bass response. I also used to play 2 Eden D112XLT cabinets as a ministack, and the Neox212t is also more evenly voiced, and has better response in the bass than that setup.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't had it too long, but it seems rock solid so far. Can't honestly give it a rating, as I haven't personally put it through enough gigs to really test the reliability

Customer Support : No Opinion
I can't personally rate Genz Benz customer service, but everyone I know who has had to use them raves about their amazing service.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing bass since I was very young, about 20 years or so. I have owned SWR, Euphonic Audio and Eden gear immediately before this. Also, while I haven't owned it, I've played through Ampeg, Bergantino, and Epifani cabinets before as well. I think the Genz Benz Neox-212t will stand with or beat anything on the market that I've managed to find.

2x12 made in the USA. Solidly built, beautiful design, very lite weight as far as cabs go. Cool roll back wheels, nifty grill and cab covering, very well placed and easy to use handles. No complaints about anything or suggestions for improvement.

Sound Quality : 10
I purchased a GBE 600 head with this cab. I think I cracked my slab and blew out two windows when I first cranked this up (halfway!)! Man does this sound great. Made my modestly priced (not cheap, mind you) late 80's Squier HM sound like a million bucks. I can hardly wait to play a real good bass thru this at a large setting. I had just played thru a 4x10 with a 1x15 Carvin rig a couple of weeks earlier. I would have to say this sounded better, maybe even a lot better (although the settings were different, so I'm not going to totally dismiss the Carvin set up). Very impressive that a relatively compact 2x12 can measure up to a much larger cab set-up.

Reliability : No Opinion
We'll have to see, but I'm not anticipating any problems due to G-B's reputation.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Hope I never need them. Three year warranty on the cab.

Overall Rating : 10
If you are looking to downsize your rig and possibly upgrade (or at least maintain about the same level of sound, depending on what you are playing thru), check this out. If anyone remarks about your "small rig" as you are setting up, they'll be picking their jaw up off the floor after your first run. I think you will be amazed at how big this sounds. Your back will thank you for it.

New cabinets, two 12"s with neodymium magnets, horn. Has horn attenuator, 1/4" and Speakon inputs. Feels very solid, yet is light. Easily portable with tiltback wheel configuration.

Sound Quality : 10
Very solid low end with five string, very clean and clear, well balanced through the frequency spectrum, very loud. I have 1425 watts per side going through two of these cabs, and they handle it perfectly. This cab accepts EQ well and, with the adjustable horn, can handle most any style. I compared this cab to many other brands and configurations and found no equal to it.

Reliability : 10
I have had one of my cabs for several weeks and have pushed it hard without problem; I can't say how it will perform over the long term, but it feels very solid.

Customer Support : 10
My communication with Genz-Benz---Kaman actually---when searching for a second cab was answered promptly and courteously. I have needed no repairs and will be surprised if I ever do.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 35 years. I use an Alembic F1X and a Crest Pro 200 8200 through these cabs; my main bass is a Hanewinckel Signature NT five. I tried every cab I could find in my search for my ultimate rig, and this was the clear choice, including one cab costing two and a half times as much. I would replace these with same in a heartbeat if anything happened to them. The sound is incredibly powerful, solid, and clean, and the cabinet is light and very portable. This is how bass should sound.

2x12 Bass Cabinet w/neodymium speakers. 4-ohm. Compression tweeter.Recessed handles & tilt-back casters. Extremely lightweight & portable.(62lbs) Bought this cabinet new, assume it was manufactured in 2003/2004. Use this cabinet with a four-piece blues band & 8-piece classic rock cover band.

Sound Quality : 10
I primarily play blues & motown using a 70's vintage P-bass. This cabinet has plenty of bottom. I don't need the tweeter and usually keep it turned off. It's rated at 600W and I use an older Eden 300W Traveller head, so the cabinet is never pushed. Even with the lower wattage it is plenty loud. Played an outdoor gig with a large (8-piece) classic rock band and had no trouble being heard. I turned the tweeter up just a bit and my sound was able to cut through the drums & guitars.

Reliability : No Opinion
Fairly new cabinet, no reliability issues yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Cabinet has standard 3-year waranty. Have not needed to contact Genz Benz.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing bass for over 15 years. I own a 70's P-bass, 77 Jazz bass, 90's P-bass Lyte and brand new Geddy Lee jazz bass. Before I bought this cabinet, I was using an old Peavey 1820 cabinet (120lbs!). I was looking for a loud cab that was light enough to handle by myself. The bass dept. at "Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center" recommended the Genz Benz Neo line. This cab has been a joy to use. It looks great and I have received a number of compliments on it's styling. If it were stolen I would buy another. This cab is worth the expense just to not have to bug band-mates to help me load it into my van after gigs.
