Bought NOS from MF in '07; great combo amp! Truly the first bass combo I have been able to take to ANY gig and not worry about having enough coverage... and it's "only" a 1x12" with a tweeter (granted, it's equipped with an extended range, light weigh and efficient Neodymium loudspeaker). It features 300 watts @8ohms (I also run it at 425 watts @4ohm with the 112T extension cab, no heat issues), two channels (one FET, one tube-footswitchable and combinable) and a myriad of tone shaping controls. It also has an XLR pre or post direct out. This amp is very, very well equipped.

Sound Quality : 10
The sound is incredible. I've had it up against Mark Bass heads, Ampegs of all sorts, a 1200 watt Carvin rack and even an Eden head and every time the guy with the "other" equipment marvels at my tone. It's quiet, does great rock, pop and slap tones and can handle any sort of bass (active, passive, 4, 5, or 6-no problem!). It never squeals or farts-and I play Laklands with massive, rumbling, 35" B strings.

Reliability : No Opinion
No clue yet. Less than a year in it shows no signs of fatigue. Since it is largely solid state I imagine it will hold up.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them. Hope I never have to!

Overall Rating : 10
The ONLY complaint I can think of is that I'll have to drop the chassis when I want to change the preamp tube. Other than that this "little" (ok, 59 lbs isn't THAT small) combo is amazing. When I think back to amps I used to use-Sunn 2x15s, Ampeg 8x10s-I am AMAZED at the volume and quality of bass this combo cranks out. I've paired it with a 1x12 extension cabinet and have yet to find a venue (even outdoors) that it couldn't fill with sound. Heck, even if I do find its limits I have the XLR out to go direct. I think Genz has discontinued these now, but the GBE and Shuttle series are comparable. If you can find one (used or new), buy it!
