All the features you really need except overdrive, but i go clean so nbfd. xlr out rocks for when i do get to larger places (only used it to check it out so far). i have the two 1x10" cabs for it and it handles everything just fine with only one(there went 400 bucks for a cab i dont need:)i'd say for the category everything i could ask for is there.

Sound Quality : 10
wow. great high. boomy , punchy, flat and midrangey whatever- it will do it. i dont use any overdrive or effects, but i do play very dynamically. super fast and light or groovy and hard this runt has scrappiness like none of my amps in the past ever had. I was forged in the early metal days with solid state and never had tubes in my own rig, so i won't try and compare them, but i'd go against any amp in tone at the same level.categorically the best i've ever owned, so 10

Reliability : No Opinion
putting it through about four hours per week (all at once) so i expect zero issues. only had it about 8 or so months.

i've read its great, but i've never had to call.

'09 model Shuttle 3.0, single input with gain, three band EQ, with sweepable mids, Global Bass boost, mid cut and treble boost and master volume. LOVE the DI out, very clean either pre or post EQ, tuner out with mute function, headphone capable,fx loop and 1/4 " or speakon output. 300 watts of clean LOUD power at less than three pounds!! Works great for country/blues/ southern rock

Sound Quality : 10
I use either a passive Warwick with Bartolini's or a Stingray five. Both basses sound crisp and clear, with nice punchy lows and super-crisp treble response. I pair it with a Goliath III (4 Ohm ) and it hasn't let me down yet Dead-quiet, studio quality sound, but will fart out a teeny bit if the master volume is pushed ( more so with the active Stingray, the 'Wick does just fine) Very nice mid clarity with a nice treble bite without the shrill sound of hi-fi amps

Reliability : 10
bought it as a back-up for a Mesa Walkabout which can be tempermental if the current isn't super strong or clean. I've used the Shuttle by itself for the last few shows and left the Mesa at home. Don't have any worries about the Shuttle, doesn't even get warm after hours of use. Because it's FET design, it stays very consistant through-out the night, unlike the tubes in the Mesa which react differenty as they heat up ( but sound awesome ). I find myself setting the tone and not doing the ole knob-twiddle as the sets wear on through the evening

Three year warranty, haven't had to use it, but I hear they are fantastic to deal with

Overall Rating : 10
If stolen, I would certainly replace it. Mesa, Ampeg, SWR, they are all great and I've owned them all, but dollar for dollar, pound for pound, this little monster takes the cake. Not the best for full metal or anything crazy, but for a working semi-pro, it fits the bill SUPER. highly recommended

This is a new 2009 amp head I bought separately from the GB speaker offerings. No dis on their speaker products and the guys at Bass N.W. were more than happy to plug it in to any and all of their cabs in stock. I just haven't decided on which way to go yet. I have a Carvin PA cab I'm using in the interim. This amp operates absolutely quiet, offers thick, clear bass tone that replicates the guitar being used. That, and the fact that it's so portable and powerful enough for what I need. What it also has that was important to me was a dedicated aux input and headphone connection. If I need more than 300 watts it has an XLR out to run through to the house.

I wouldn't say that the GB 3.0 is transparent as much as it does sound like what you play thru it. I find the lack of coloration a positive after owning an Eden 550 Traveler which was a very nice amp head in it's own way. The GB 3.0 has a FET preamp design which is known for smoothing out the square sound waves a solid state amp produces. It sounds superb to my ears.If your bass guitar is warm and resonant sounding acoustically then that's the tone this amp will produce.

Reliability : 9
I've noticed the last couple of years that most all brands of bass amplification have suffered in this department, at least the entry level to mid priced stuff. Modern techniques for mass producing electrical equipment is efficient but not perfect. I take super care of my gear and Genz Benz has a better than normal QC rating. I'm not worried.

Customer Support : 10
Genz Benz support is second to none in this business. One only need to frequent any of the Bass Forums on line to find that out and this was a major factor in my decision to purchase a GB product. I'm happy that GB finally started marketing their fine products in the NW area.

Overall Rating : 10
I've owned a fair amount of bass amps over the years. Tone Works, Fender, SWR, Eden and now the Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0. For me this amp is the perfect blend of portability, power, features and tone. My days of hauling a van full of heavy gear are over. At the price point and quality offered in this unit you'd be hard pressed to do better.
