Shuttle 3.0 head. Specs and features are easy enough to find on retailers sites. I personally prefer only eq and whatever tone shaping circuitry that is built in, and this one's perfect for that- right out of the box without touching a knob (well ok, the volume was up a little high at first, I didn't expect it to actually be as loud as it is)this thing rocks. It took me 20 seconds to dial in the best tone I've ever had from my own rig. I got the extra cab to utilize the head's full power and once we started rehearsal, we were all very surprised to find just the one speaker combo was way enough.

Sound Quality : 10
I play loud fast stuff on either my Ibanez SR800 (1989) or my 5 string Ergodyne (200x?) and wow it doesn't matter if I want to play deep and fat or high and skinny this does it well. I haven't tested the water by seeing what it takes to expose its limits, but I'd imagine it having a little trouble keeping up with a 300 watt 115 combo in the rumble category. Let's remember this is a 210 rig, so will it out-shake the same power through a 18+h cab? C'mon. What this is simply: an active bass player's best bet. Even with the 2nd cab it's super easy to transport and carry, and sounds #&^%$@*! great. I'd bet most folks reading this won't need to use a p.a. more than once in a long while. I would play with this gal in a corner bar no problem by itself (both cabs) Anything bigger, maybe she'd need help, but it's worth it to only take up about ONE SQUARE FOOT on that dinky little stage.

Reliability : No Opinion
Never gig without a backup. Jam sessions are another story. Just got it, fingers crossed...

Customer Support : No Opinion
Dunno, but this thing was factory packed like precious cargo! So I figure that if the dudes working in the shipping deptartment have that much pride in their work the guys that are PAID TO HELP YOU do their job well, too.

Playing for 20+ yrs now. One thing that I learned is that moving speakers that need wheels and/or other people really sucks. I don't know about you but I'll pass on carrying that 810 to the 3rd floor, thanks. At one time my rig was : 1- peavey 3620 cab (218+210), a peavey combo 300 (or in other words an uber-heavy 115), a 215 cab, a 410, a head, and an 8 space rack. Never plugged into the p.a. but needed a truck just for my own gear- EVERY TIME WE PLAYED. Now I'll need the p.a. at lots of places, sure, but not all of them- AND I can put my rig in the passenger seat of a Miata. One and only one problem for me, though, making this a 9 not 10. The speaker that is the combo amp's cabinet has no jack. Instead, theres a cable with a 1/4" plug coming out of it for you to plug into the amp. Ok, but there's only one 1/4" speaker out on the amp, and you're supposed to be able to use the second cabinet with it. So budget yourself a Speakon cable when you get the second cab or you'll be S.O.L. till you can get to a store. Re-purchase this in a second, period. It is everything I need: a great sounding, lightweight, compact, high-powered, appealing, multi piece bass rig. Pony up for big boy gear, you'll be glad you did and your bass will love you for it.
