Bought new in October 2003. 8 ohm version. Made in Germany. 4x10" bass speaker with Fostex tweeter.
800 W rms. Drivers made exclusively for Glockenklang by Volt.
2 neutrik speakon imputs. You can also find an attenuator knob on the metal back pannel.
Durable black epoxy finish. Plastic stack corner. Dimension in mm : 64x59.5x43.5 37 kg
Vibration-free steel grill. 2 side handle well spoted.
The look of Glockenklang products is always very classic and even sometimes not very attractive but the best is inside !

Sound Quality : 10
To words are simply needed to discribe it : pure and transparent. This speaker will absolutly not colour your sound so it is useless to try to hide a crappy bass behind it. I use it with a Glockenklang Soul bass head reviewed here too and a Warwick streamer jazzman 5 and the sound is simply fabulous. I play in a rock fusion band and this amp and bass set up is all I need. My fingerstyle lines are warm and groovy and when I'm slapping and poping, my Streamer screams and bark like a beast. The sound is very articulate and effortless and even the lowest note of a B string will be clear and well defined. The most striking thing about it is the absolute absence of noise or hum even when trebles are cracking up.
Just a warning, Ampeg junkies, this amp is not for you at all. You will only find Hi-Fi sound, clarity and purity here. SWR and Eden owners would sell their mothers for it !

Reliability : 10
Only have it for a month and a half so only time will tell but very solid construction and I remind you that all Glock. products are hand made.

5 years warranty. Udo Klempt, Glockenklang creator, himself answers all my e-mail in the 24 hours.
I live in France and Glock products were not distributed here so I had to trade by the web with the Beneluxe distributor. Edwin was realy great, friendly and informative, always answering my mail in the day, faxing me quotes... great guy !

Overall Rating : 10
I was playing for a few years on a Marshall bass state combo but it was the time for me to change, my Warwick diserved a better amp. I first check SWR and Eden, also try Ashdown which is great too but basing myself on the growing reputation of Glockenklang I began to search comments on the web, in magazine... and in a few time, I became aware that it was the amp !
I will certainly add another Glock. speaker to that one, a 2x12 or another 4x10" one day but this one with its 36 hz/18 khz band width could stand alone in a 4 ohm version.
