Harley Benton CB-110x

This amp was bought in May 2008.
It's an amp with one hundred watts and a 12 inch speaker.
It has on channel but two equalizers to adjust the sound.
And additional bassboost and bright swichtes.
It has a stereo input, an ext. speaker output,pre-amp output, headphone connection.
Delay and chorus effects are on board.

THe sound quality is rather good for such a small amp in this price range. I was looking for a small bass amp with a deep sound and enough power to play in small clubs with moderate volume.
I think it fits for any kind of music style. It can produce almost any sound, the highs are clear to hear, the lower sound is good but not earthshaking. It should be clear, that this is not an high end product but it has two midrange controllers, so you have many options
to form your sound. With my old hofner bass I hear a little humm, but not disturbing.
I must say it works very well. I have'nt tried to get a distorted sound, what I really don't like on bass. The effects (delay&chorus) are not bad, but nothing special. I seldom use effects on bass.
I give a 9 in rating, but in relation to the price and the size.

This amp is brand new. Hope it will not fail the next years.

I do some bass playing in my home studio or with friends.
A bigger bass amp is really oversized in my situation.
I'm really happy with this little amp, but caution, it's not a light
one ! 16 kilos ! And that is my only wish: 3-4 Kilos less.
