1x15 front ported Bass cab, very sturdy, solid grille, 200w at 8 ohms, comfy handles that spring back flush mounted, two 1/4 inch jacks - no castors on mine, but it was second hand... don't know if they come standard...

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using a Behringer BX4500H (450w into 4 ohms, lots of EQ range) and a fairly lively MTD Kingston5 with nice bright steel round wound strings. It can really snap the mids out when slapping, could probably do with being partnered up with a 2x10 cab or something but I don't really see the need. Low bass is tight and deep, even at low volumes - an absolute pleasure. Good kit just makes you love playing even more.

Reliability : 10
I've driven it fairly hard with the amp I mentioned before, it's never sounded overly stressed. Connections are always solid. It's always done exactly what I expect it to - I guess that means full marks?

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never used. The website had full details though.

Overall Rating : 9
I bought this because it was the right price at the right time. I am hugely happy though, Bass guitars just sound better through kit that has good low-end. I have no intention of replacing this cab and would buy another/recommend it to a mate without hesitation. If I were buying a first cab again I'd look at smaller, lighter models - but at the end of the day it's about the sound quality and there is no point compromising there, it's a false economy.

Puchased in 2003, speaker blew in 2007. Hrdly used after 2005. Metal grill, black carpet finish. It WAS versitile for rock & roll. 15" aluminum speaker.

Sound Quality : 1
It had a nice sound originally but with a blown speaker you get a real heavy distorted buzz.

Reliability : 2
The speker blew right after the warranty expired. I played Hartke products for over 12 years when I upgraded thats when the problems started. I had a 3500 amp blow, a 2x10 transporter blow a speaker. I never turn my amps up above 12:00.

Customer Support : 1
Hartke's customer support is non existent. Their older products held up very well, anything made this decade is a piece of junk.

Overall Rating : 1
I've been playing over 30 years. I play Fenders out of Mesa Boogies. Let's see my 2x10 transporter cab is a table now, the products crap out right after the warranty expires. I USED to play Hartke exclusivly for a long time.

I bought this cab back in 99', It's kept up real nice sense then (6 yrs.
I use it for rock, anything from The Beatles to Greenday.
Has a nice deep tone, wish it had a little more high end.

What else would you want it to have...
It uses a 1/4" input, has good handles, good carpet, casters.
This cab takes 200 watts at 8 olms.
This cabinet gets weekly use for jamming with the band and playing shows.
It works better at higher volumes, way more than enough power for me and tons of punch. Yumm :)

Sound Quality : 9
I play a Musicman Stingray and a MIM Jazz bass.
The fifteen rounds out the harsher highs coming from the Stingray, and does quite nicely with the jazz too.
The cab can handel it's self fine alone, but I match it with a Peavey fire two ten cab for larger shows or gigs. This pair works great together because the two ten cab helps deliver some of the highs that aren't there.

Works great for fingerstyle, pick, and most of all slapping.
Wow, it sounds so fat and punchy when Slapping.
It has a very tight high end (could have more) and a firm bottom.
Very nice by itself, but sounds better with some help with the highs.

Reliability : 10
I've had it 6 years with no problems... I say thats really good.

I often use it without a backup when jamming with bands / friends.
No problems, not one, ever.

Bought it new back in 99.
This cab was bought for use as a backup for my larger Gallein-Kruger half-stack. After playing both, I sold the GK and couldn't be happier.
I like the fact that it's easy to move around and can take enough power to be played wherever. It doesn't have all the highs I'd like, but come on now it's a one fifteen cab so what do you expect.
I someone stole it I would be pissed. After hunting them down I buy the same exact model because I haven't heard anything better come out of a cab like this for under a thousand dollars.
Again I like the real fat bottom end, the casters help out when moving (but it's not to heavy anyway), it can handel a show, and it was cheap.
