Usable as a stand alone cabinet in very small venues/house parties. I like the sound very much. Doesn't have nor does it need a tweeter.

I don't bring a spare cabinet with me. Seems like it will be reliable, but is too new to tell.

Used this for the first time at a large venue with a loud blues band. Used it with a 15 inch EVM in a custom cabinet. This combination sounded great! The low B got the bones shaking and band members commented on my improved sound. I'm using an Ibanez 5-string with Bartoloni pickups and preamp through a Behringer head. The 2-10 cab alone wouldn't have cut the gig though.

this is a 2x10XL cabinet designed for Bass use.It was manufactured in late 2005.It is a sealed cabinet rated at 200watts/rms! At least that was the company's claim in their advertisments!

Here's the start of the problems, this cabinet sounds very good at 50rms watts, wait don't get your hopes up yet I have had two of these cab's,the original and the replacement and they BOTH HAVE HAD A CRAPPY speaker direct from the factory!! Honestly I only pushed 160rmswatts thru a 2x2.5XL cab & the above mentioned 2x10XL and both times one of the 2x10XL speakers developed distortion of the permanent kind!!

reliability is NIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing you can count on is trouble with this particular Hartke 2x10XL cabinet! Don't waste your green on this one, spend a little more and grab the 2x2.5XL cab it is killer!!

Customer support????That's a joke! They are not player friendly at all! I've worked with other companies who main concern were getting the musician up and running, particularly a working professional. Well that's not Hartke's interest at all!!! They want you to ship the cabinet to a repair center, who by the way does NOT have a replace----ment in stock, and have your cab sit there for weeks while you kick out rental money so you can keep playing! Obviously it would be much more sensible to exchange bad speaker for good speaker via the mail!!But like I said Hartke would rather screw you around even when they sell you an inferior product

I've been a bassist for twenty years,I use Warwick amplifiers,a beh---ringer T1954 tubemofo, hartke cab's I'll keep the 2.5XL,and get another brand to supplement it.I play a Conklin 5 string, ibanez 6string and a ibanez 5 string fretless. All of the above would be greatly missed if stolen.I definitly would attempt to replace! I also want to pick up a pace 5 string,I've got an old upright but it's action is kind of high due to a warping in the back.
