Bought Feb' 2002 in Leicester, UK. It's got everything you need & looks great. Was well impressed with the sound in the store.

Crisp, punchy sound even at volume. Probably the clearest sound I've heard from a bass combo.

Tidy, rugged looking combo. Not too heavy. Looks well finished.

This is where the problem is. First speaker went after only two gigs & one practice (without giving it any stick). Had an 8 month fight with the music store to get it repaired as they insisted speaker not covered by warranty??? New speaker lasted only three gigs & I'm now taking this up with Hartke's UK distributor. To their credit, they have responded quickly noting that they are not familiar with this problem. They want their tech' people to take a look. I'm hoping to get this resolved before too long. Has anyone else had this problem?

E-mailed Hartke USA after 1st speaker went - no reply at all. E-mailed them again after 2nd speaker went but mail was returned by their "spam filter"?? Have emailed UK distributor who responded quickly. Waiting now for positive outcome from them - watch this space! No opinion yet.

I had a Trace Elliot 100W combo before which was faultless and served me well. I'm a bit peeved that I chopped it in now because of the problems I've had with the Hartke. It's a real pain in the backside but if Harttke resolve this problem satisfactorily it's a great combo! This rating is temporary depending on the outcome.

This is my first bass amp and I love it. I have a Cort (Korean) A5 thru-neck bass and the active pick-ups work great with the Hartke 2155. I also have a Cort B4FL Fretless and that one also sounds great with the amp. I reaserched the amp and read reviews about other Hartke products. It seemed like it was a good amp and after considering other amps I bought that one. I love it. I rated all the categories 9 because there might be a better one, but I dont think so.
