It's a simple cab, two 12's and and a horn. And Pretty basic cab, and pretty light, but has wheels just incase.

Sound Quality : 7
I played it through GK 400-RB III head. It Sounds great at low volumes, but I play in a metal band and it just doesn't have enough low end. I'm playing against two 150 watt guitars, and insane drummer and screamer. It just didn't cut it for me. It does sound good, if you play in a rock or jazz band, this cab is perfect for you, but if your looking for some real low end this isn't your choice. It has great highs and mids but it's just missing that big bassy bottom sound.

Reliability : 9
It has worked absolutely fine. Obviously when u reach it's max it's going to sound fuzzy, but, a speaker hasn't blown and the casing is very tough and will last. My only problem was the casters didn't really want to stay on that well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had any real problems with it, so, i haven't had to contact Hartke.

Overall Rating : 8
It's a good dependable Cab if you like decent lows and great highs and mids. But if you want some real low end, pass on this one. And if your looking to be loud enough to play at a local venue that seats like 300 people, mic'd you'll be ok, if your not mic'd, your screwed.

Hmm, features. Well, as said above, this is a fairly sinmple cab with 2 12s and a horn. The 1/4 inch and Speakon connectors are nice to have and give you extra flexibility in the area of connectivity. The top speaker is tilted back a bit so you can hear yourself a little better. A tweeter control is on the back. This cab will handle all but the most humongous of gigs. I played an outdoor gig with two guitars, a drummer, and 4 vocalists and cut through just fine. If you want to do a heavy metal gig at Wembley stadium, though, you won't be able to get quite enough volume.

Sound Quality : 8
For fun one day, I hooked this cab up to a PA amp and played music through it. The tweeter and aluminum cones made for a very bright, precise, and clear tone. With a bass, it is much the same way. You get a very articulate, punchy sound that can bring out the subtlest note yet also shake the darn floor boards when you pound on the E string a bit! Slap sounds are amazing when I run a Cirrus 4 stringer through a Hartke 3500 head into this beast. One note, though - if you want warm, muddy, old-school sound, this is not your cab. For a modern, hi-fi, punchy sound, this is your boy. Tip: turn the tweeter down just a might.

Reliability : 10
This thing is a bloody tank. The casters make it easy to move and the speakers have held up just fine for me.

Not had any trouble, so I have had no reason to call or contact them. The web site is informative and well laid out so finding specs and info is easy.

Overall Rating : 9
If you want a modern, articulate, punchy sound that is not quite as brittle as HArtke's legendary 4x10 cabs, this unit is worth a look. I played some R&B and blues and was able to keep the sound clean and punchy without being brittle or too bright. I do suggest you try it before you buy it and make sure this is the sound you want. A little EQ tweaking can turn this into a very effective floor shaker.

I think it's very versatile in low volumes, but if you need to get some serious bass, it just isn't enough in bigger rooms. If you play in a band where drums are not micked, this cabinets power is easily enough (unless the drummer is a complete maniac.. ;)).

I use it trough Hartkes HA3000 amp, and I they match quite well.

It's quite easy to carry anywhere. It has good handles on both sides, so with two guys carrying it, it's very portable. If you have to cope with all by yourself the wheels helps moving it a lot.

Sound Quality : 8
I play Music Man Stingray 4 (2003), and I can get the instruments nice punchy sound out with this cabinet. When a lot of volume is needed you must cut down some bass to avoid the sound to break. You cannot get a good little distorting grawl-sound with this cabinet. When you have too much volume it sounds bad..

I wouldn't say it has a warm or deep sound. I think the sound is very accurate, punchy and clear, pretty good for example for slapping or generating a 80's kind of flat rock sound (like Guns 'n Roses kind of sound..).

Reliability : 10
I have to say it has worked very well. No problems in 3 years. Have used it outside, very cold and warm places. I think you can rely on Hartke. They make it simple and durable.

Customer Support : 10
Who needs customer support when they make their stuff this durable? :) I haven't..

I've been playin for 9 years now. 6 of that doing a lot of gigs, playing music from hard rock to funk and pop. I can recommend this if you don't need a lot of power, but a good, clean sound with reasonable price.

Cabinet bought new. Two twelves (aluminum) and a compression driver/horn. Speakers are positioned vertically with the top speaker and horn slightly angled up. Nice feature, helps with monitoring yourself. 300 watts, 4ohm cabinet. High frequency switch for the horn is cool. Makes a big differance. I like this horn much better than the horns in SWR and Eden cabinets. Much smoother, not as brash. Has speakeron and 1/4 inch inputs. Can be wired in parallel. The reason I bought this cabinet was for it's portability. It fits great in my backseat and isn't very heavy. It also has casters. I replaced my SWR Triad w/this cabinet. Got a new car and the SWR didn't fit very well.

Sound Quality : 10
Twelve inch speakers have a differant sound than 10's and 15's. It takes a little tweaking and getting used to. They are darker and less barky than a ten and not as deep as a Fifteen. I use a Mesa Boogie Bass 400 head. It's nice because it actually has 4ohm outs on it. Definately makes a differant in the output of the cabinet. I also played it through my bass pod modeler through a variety of modeled amps. The cabinet sounds great and is very clean. I play mostly rock but this would be a great cabinet for a variety of styles. Not as funky as my 210. I really like the horn on this cab. I never used the one on my SWR - hated the brash sound. I haven't really floored the amp yet but have played it at stage volumes and enjoyed the results. The lows are not as deep as a paper cone 15 but still handled all my basses just fine (Gibson Thunderbird w/emgs, Warwick Thumb, Jazz, P).

Reliability : No Opinion
This is my second one - returned the first due to a bad speaker upon delivery. Hartke was great on the phone as was music 123.
So far so good.

Customer Support : 10
As stated previously both Music123 and Hartke were very good about exchanging the cabinet.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 20 years. I bought this primarily because it fit in my car. I was afraid I was going to wreck the inside of my new car trying to get the SWR in at all hours of the night/in the snow. I also wanted to get back to Harkte aluminum speakers. The Hatrke 4.5xl wouldn't fit in my new car and I saw this cabinet online. I figured I'd try it out and have been very happy with the results. I would consider getting a second cabinet but I don't really think I'll need it. I also own a Hartke 210xl cabinet. The hartke 2x12 is the most affordable of the 212's out right now. I am enjoying this cabinet. The only odd thing is if I stack my 210 on top it looks a whole lot like the Teen Titan tower.
