i got this with the SB-15 pack. best part of that pack. i used it for quite a while with that bass (P/J, passive, basswood, maple/rosewood bolt-on neck). i had to CRANK the poor little thing (6-9 o'clock) to be heard over my band (at the time a 15watt guitar amp with tons of pedals and a loud drummer).
i got my new bass (ESP B-2005; Active EMGs, mohagony body... need i go on?). now i only have to turn it to about 4-6 o'clock.
the thing i despise about this amp is that if you add too much bass at higher volume it starts to belch and fart and crap out... now i know this isn't a 4x10 and a 1x15 driven by an SVT, but come one! this is a bass amp, it should be able to handle some low end atleast!

Gig? ha! that's a laugh-and-a-half! it's a 15watt amp! i can hardly practice with friends on this thing let alone gig!
as i said, this is not a pro stack, anyone who expects it to perform like one is a complete idiot. this is for practice and just about nothing else. quite frankly it performs the job quite well.
this amp has never broken down or crapped out except for the afore mentioned farting, and this was completely my fault.
all in all quite decent

if it were lost i'd probably look into something else for practicing, like the philip jones bass buddy or such.
i will not be going to hartke ever again as i've heard only bad things about their products. for my next amp i'm looking into yorkville/traynor.
i enjoy this amp but it simply isn't buff enough. i know it's not its fault but o well. great for practicing!

Hartke B15...mine is made on 2003, so therefore the name is Hartke B150. Not B15. Although the product is the same. For an amp at this size (15 watt) it has the most complete feauters in it (if compared to Ibanez Sw20, Fender Frontman 15, Laney HCM15B, and Peavey Microbass)...here we go: active input, passive input, 3-band eq, headphones out, line out, and an effect loop. And if it's ain't enough, it has a compromising price, as well. Perfect.

I use the amp with an Ibanez Soundgear SR400... And I am in a Muse-cover band. I'm just a beginner, therefore this amp is enough for me.
The amp isn't noisy..but one thing annoying is when you turn it on, there's a disctincive "pop" sound. Built without anti-tromp circuitry, perhaps? I don't know.
Clean channel is distorted if you turn volume to 9...So don't.

I won't use it on a gig...this is an practice amp. However if I use it on a gig, I'll use bigger version of it. Come on, man...it's just 15 watt amp.

I don't have any problem with it now...however, if this thing failed me, I am sure the service center can handle it.

If this thing is stolen, I'd whack the thief with my amp...I'm pretty damn sure it won't effects the amp at all...It's soooo sturdy.
What I love about the amp is becuse it has an effects loop..so I can hook my Digitech BP200.... What I hate, It don't have any cd-line in. So I can't jam with it....but hey, that feature is already exist on the Digitech pedal...so why bother?

15 Watt Hartke Bass Amp, Made in 2004, in Korea. This amp is fairly versatile. You can create a variety of sounds. Has 2 inputs (passive and active), Volume, bass, mid, high eq knobs, line out jack, headphones jack, effects loops (send, return) and mesh grill.
This amp is ideal for playing by yourself at home. If you play with anyone else, you will easily be drowned out, especially by a drummer. It really lacks power, and even playing at home you may be frustrated with it. However, compared to most other brands, for a amp of this size, this is one of the best. It's ideal for beginners, and people who live in apartments or semi-detached homes.

It's used with an Hartke SB-15 Bass (came in a pack with the amp) and P/J pickups. It may be only with my bass, but It is super clean on bass, but when the treble is cranked up, it gives feedback. The amp can be very versatile, but sound quality may suffer.

This amp looks solid. It's not for gigging at all, but if you take care of it, this amp will serve you well as a practice amp for many many years.

I've just started playing bass, but have played guitar for a year. This is my first amp, everything previous to this was acoustic. I like that the amp isn't really heavy like the 15W fender amp, and It has some versatility. I don't like the amount of feedback it gives, but then it just might be my bass.
Compared to other amps in it's class, this one is better then the rest. It has it's problems, but it's the best you can buy in 15W, (which i don't even suggest you should buy something so small in the first place). I wish I'd bought a bigger amp, but it came with a pack so. It's better to buy a big amp, because for bass, if you are gigging, technically the bass amp should be 3-4 times more powerful then the guitar amp.
I'd rather give this like a 7.5 or 7.7, but rounded up, it's an 8.
