This amp was built in 2007, I got it 2008. Very straightforward, three tone, one volume control. There's a lot of variety in there though. One channel, headphone jack and line out. I used this amp for big band music and played it pretty low.

I use an Ibanez active bass. The bass pushed the speaker on this amp too hard so I switched to a Cort passive. Still too loud. The amp has too much power for the speaker, or, the speaker is just too cheap! I like the amp well enough that I'm going to get an Eminence 10" Neolite speaker for it. This little amp shows promise and if I can find a speaker that holds up I'll keep it. Otherwise, it's eBay for this guy.

The amp is sturdy and runs well. The speaker started failing within a month. But I fault the quality of speaker, not the product. If I had a good speaker in this and it worked well I wouldn't have a backup, Hartke stuff is pretty dependable.

If it were lost or stolen I'd probably get the Line 6 10" studio amp instead, or a small Behringer, like my big Behringer. I like the looks and tone but I hate the cheap speaker. I hope a replacement speaker fixes the problem, if it does, then I have a great small gig bass combo!
